I'm looking at buying myself a B caapi cutting because I feel like my garden is incomplete without one, however, Adelaide has been called the hottest city in the world recently. We have long, dry heatwaves in summer with above 105 degree days for weeks.

The average Ambient humidity in summer is between 74%-31% and in winter 58%-93%, so theoretically it seems like it would survive okay as long as it is shaded from our harsh sunlight and watered regularly.

What do you think? Anyone have experience growing caapi in less-than-ideal climates?

I took a crack at it in the upper floor of an apartment in California. It was hot. It was still super happy! Mist it daily and try to mimic the soil and you're good to go.

They love heat.
Keep it shaded at first, cluster plants to help keep the humidity up. Saturate the area twice a day (not just the plant).
