How the f*** do I teach my stupid cat not to chew on cords or anything for that matter..
It's getting to the point where I'm considering giving him away or throwing him outside (as bad as it sounds)..
Anyone got any cat training advice?

A water pistol, im sure you wont give him away and possibly condemn him to an almost certain death in a shelter..

Gentle redirection to something better such as play with you. Heavy praise and reward for desired behavior re cords. Reward as in treats or lots of praise and the kinds of pet a your friend loves. There is this thick semi sticky tape you can use to cover cords but not damage floor or carpet. Also, more hardcore plastic covers that look like speed bumps and allow movement of things like chairs. Typically used for lots of cords. All mammals hate being dosed with cayenne pepper. Keep I'm mind kitty is A LOT more sensitive here than you. Perhaps place very very small amounts of cayenne where kitty does not belong. Cats are NOT dogs nor are they humans. Hissing sometimes seems to help as well. That is the way cats communicate with each other when disapproving! They also hate vinegar and water in a spray bottle. And a hissing noise works very well to show disapproval. My cats seem to like the really thin cords like headphones or some adapters so if you notice it's a specific type of cord you can use tape or covers like Pandora suggested.
