Hi all,
A friend of mine (62 years old) want to try to smoke dmt for the first time, he quit smoking cigarette 10 years ago and since that he doesn't smoke anything at all.
I was afraid to send him in the hyperspace coughing like hell, so i told him to put 5 mg in a GVG to check the response , and he could keep the smoke inside without any problem, but of course no psicoative effect. So he tried 15 mg and he could not smoke it all because he began to cough . Than he laid down but it was not enought to feel the efect. After a little while he start to cough for more or less half an hour , so he decide to stop smoking for that day. Now , he want to smoke again and he want to try a full dose, but we are really afraid that he can have a "bad trip" because of coughing at the same time of having a break through.
There is something that he can do to reduce the harsh of the smoke, like taking some honey before or some olive oil?

Sounds like he's burning it... In my experience, properly vaporized DMT is not even nearly harsh enough to make me cough. It hardly feels like anything more than warm air.

I think that DMT can provoke coughing without it necessarily being burnt or harsh; the vapour from optimal vaping with the GVG can 'tickle' the airways which can result in coughing for some venturers. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

I've been reading that water with salt can reduce the tickle , and also lemon and honey seems to work well.
He will try and i'll report the rusult.
thanks all,
Jacob

Liquid mullein extract. Works wonders.

I guess that's a good point. I haven't personally experienced it, but I can see how it could happen. Particularly if the person had asthma or some other preexisting breathing difficulty.

Yes, I find this to be very true. Even when you get DMT to be as least-harsh as you can, when vaping other tryptamines, it becomes obvious that DMT is still peculiarly harsh in comparison.
