So I'm nearing the end of what seemed to be a very successful Caapi extraction. I have what looks like a couple grams of alks in the bottom of my glass in a basic solution.

Well, I was getting a bit sleepy so I made some coffee.. And went to the fridge for some milk, and poured it a shot into my Caapi glass!!!!!!!

Is this extraction ruined? Any suggestions?

Nice one Laughing Laughing Stuff like this happens Pleased

The alks are solid and on the bottom of the container? Maybe just decant (or pipet) as much liquid as possible and then wash a couple of times until you have a clear solution?

Thats my plan, but do you think there will be milk contamination and have an effect on storage, mold? who knows. I might just throw it out honestly.

Wow, it hasn't been settling for too long but what is collecting on the bottom is extremely white/clear crystal. I had another glass settling from a prior wash and the alks are tan brown powder looking in that, and crystal clear/white in the milk contaminated. I did dilute a lot, spread 1 glass into 6. very diluted.

Could the email have some impact on purity, I know that's a long shot.

Laughing A very long shot, I'd say! If you decant and wash, just use them first Smile

Maybe you need to go to bed after you've cleaned up the milk.

I dropped a huge box of glassware one night when I was a bit drunk, so don't worry too much about your harmalas!

Milk is (shockingly!) foodsafe, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Filter the milk to collect any solids and wash them a few times. I wouldn't leave the stuff sitting around for weeks and weeks, but if you pop it in the freezer, I am positive that it will be fine to consume.

It even seems as though the milk has helped clean up the crystals! Confused

Maybe we need to experiment with adding milk to our extractions. It's quite popular in liquid caffeine extractions where I'm from Big grin

MILK* not EMAIL, sorry about that.

And yes, It seems the milk did help clean the crystals. Very strange, but I don't think I'll go the milk route again... I don't think Ill ever drink coffee during an extraction again! hahaha.

All is well, I over reacted, back on track and things are running smooth.

HAHA, The Hyper Space Smoothie. After a little bit of time and patients I believe 100% of the milk has been removed. Though during Dilution I decided to separate and extract half as salts and half as freebase. Here is a picture.

Everything in that picture is wet. But I took the FB powder and did a manske on it after it was dry. But instead of letting it cool slowly I just threw it right in the fridge. It broke out of the water in a yellow cloud, I'm cool with lack of crystal formation as I'm going to shop it all up into fine powder anyway. will post pics of the fully dried.

The yellow paste is the converted FB still very wet. The darker, the yellow Salts from the pic above. they are getting darker as they dry. Still quite a bit of dampness to them. The picture doesnt capture it too well but they are very shiny. Strange how the FB was nearly white, but when salted much darker. I'm assuming there are still some impurities in there.

So... after a few unsuccessful attempts I wanted to try to get to the bottom of this.

At first I tried just harmalas 100mg, 200mg, 300mg..
no results.

Then I 300mg harm/50mg dmt. i felt this mild onset after a while.. mild, nothing major, but i figured id smoke some change. this really set it off, but i still didn't a have a pure pharam experience.

The othe right i did the 300mg harm but 60mg dmt. I did not smoke because i wanted to document everything. mild onset, nothing major.

So i figured that my harmalals must be contaminated with salt. So weighed them 1.280g

converted back to FB and got 414mg

WOW. 65% salt contamination. So I was only eating 100mg harm/ 50mg dmt.

tomorrow I'm going to try 150mg harm/ 50mg jim jam in a shot of lemon juice.
