2nd time smoke - advice needed Options

Hi,
i tried to smoke today for the second time through the 'machine' a 50mg of dmt. I need some help though, after the first big puff i feel a heat wave covering my body...my eyes close and i barely can take a second puff..not even a word for a third.
The problem is that the shock is too big for me i guess and a get a bit of scared...so i stop.
Any tips on how to overcome this?

p.s
before trying dmt i was considering myself experienced with psychedelics...

hello boom123,

it may be a good idea to get comfortable with the lower doses before trying the larger ones. I would recommend taking your single hits and going with it until you are accustomed to the effects of the Magic.

50mg is a large dose if vaped properly and the machine is a decent device which can deliver a full dose in 1 hit. The 3 hits thing is a bit of a myth and often 3 tokes are only needed when you haven't optimised your smoalking technique, i always smoalk enhanced leaf and it only takes 1 hit.

what type of experiences are you getting from your current dabblings?

thanks for the advise. I will continue as you said until i get accustomed because its like punch in the face... what i'm getting is a matrix of fractals with close eyes and a bit of anxiety in the beginning and also i was feeling myself tense...after i realize it i relax, smile... open my eyes and i see a my room as never before Smile

I am still to do my first spice experience but from my research and what I have read, I would say as 3rdI said get cozy with the lower doses first.
Also are you preparing mentally before the trip? i.e getting calm meditation? I keep reading everywhere that they (experienced Pshyconaughts) get calm and centered via Meditation and prepare themselves mentally before making the trip and preparing clear intentions of what they what to accomplish i.e "exploring the levels"

Just my 2c as I am just a beginner giving my input.

Hi boom :-) I highly recommend some relaxing music with no lyrics, just soothing sounds and quiet happy thoughts for a half hour to an hour before you smoke.

Create a ritual that you follow every time you smoke to help yourself remember that those first 30 seconds really suck but that you will ALWAYS get through it unscathed. The ritual is a key to helping you relax and melt into your blast off instead of being "punched in the face" which I have had my share of experience in.

Also I have had some success in smoking again immediately once I start to calm down, the punch in the face doesn't happen for me twice in a row Pleased

thanks a lot. The music was ambient trance which is relaxing for me but for sure I was not relaxed before smoking as you described. Actually after closing my eyes my anxiety for weighting the right dose (and if its a lot for me or not) came into my mind once more and get me more stressed...so you are right guys...peace of mind before smoking seems to be mandatory.

Will it help if I try to smoke the whole dose in one puff? or just make it worse?

For me personally I have not had success with smoking it all at once. My only breakthrough so far I took one huge hit and held it in and I started to freak out and was uncomfortable for a few minutes, then I started to calm down and was really relaxed and so I then took another huge toke and was blasted into the "other side" very easily.

Try taking a big hit waiting until you start to calm down and then taking a second big BIG HIT, hold it in and you are good to go my friend :-)

Try that and then report back here when you come back :-)

! I labored under the three-toke myth for some time, and had a hard time overcoming the fear and relenting to breakthrough. The.first time I was delivered a instant rode on the carrier wave (the smoke I blew out was multicolored and fractal), I literally got up and ran away from it, and hid in the shower . 'They' were very confused at my action, but didn't harm me. The instant sublimation of reality can be, well, shattering. It can be quite the shock to your poor little ego. Now the only thing that stands between me and contact is that persistent aspect of 'I'ness.

3rd I's suggestion of becoming accustomed to the molecule's effect is sound advice. Think of it as something akin to learning to swim, venture slowly into deeper water as you become more comfortable being in it. DMT is beautiful, and you have nothing to fear from it as long as you respect it, it is your mind after all, with all it's power and glory.

Another thing I learned over time is that DMT is not like other psychs. That was another misconception I owned,-that a psych is a psych is a psych. No, no, not at all, DMT is an entirely different beast altogether. I found that at sub-breakthrough, my mind stays very intact, and it's like watching a pretty light show, as awesome as it is. My environment becomes psychedelic, not me. This realization has made it easier for me to relent to breaking through, since it eliminates the fear of my subconsciousness, if that makes any sense. I don't worry about getting trapped in a LSD-like mind loop.

I think this is something all of us go through as we become accustomed to this wonderful, amazing experience. Once you are able to let go there are some great things 'they' want to show you. And therein lies healing, and knowledge.

Hello, i'm near same boat as you.
Had 40mg loaded in the machine, took 1 medium sized hit, inhaled faster than previously(VERY SLOW and steady) and it hit me that hard i was scared to take another hit..so i got only a 20mg trip most likely, because after a hour, i tried again with what was left - got exactly same trip again. Maybe would of broke through if i had of taken that second hit.

Anyway..the more i read, the more anxious i became about smoking it. Now i dealed with stuff in real life and didn't focus that much on DMT - i feel less anxious to smoke it and excited, instead of scared. One thing i noticed was that after 20mg dose, when i came down, i wasn'
t scared anymore and could of go for a breakthrough dose..but haven't done it yet, but small dose beforehand can help with anxiety imo. After coming down 20-30 mins you can allready try again smoking bigger dose. Some even say they can try again right after coming down with no tolerance issues. If new dose is bigger than previous. Don't know how true that is. Good luck.
