I had a hard time figuring out where to put this, but I desperately had to share it. I suppose "science" fits it the best, because this perspective on humanity is a product of science. He says nothing new, as the themes spoken have been around for ages. Yet, from the perspective allowed, I can think of no better way to underscore to the ideas presented. As we learn more about the cosmos, we learn more about ourselves. Without further ado.... Be an adult only when necessary.

awesome video, im quite tempted to share it on facebook lol. There's something more powerful about the message when its got that small speck as a visual aid. Thanks for sharing! I died a mineral, and became a plant. I died a plant and rose an animal. I died an animal and I became human. Then why fear disappearance through death? Next time I shall die, Bring forth wings and feathers like angels; After that, soaring higher than angels-- What you cannot imagine, I shall be that.
Any speakings written are the purely fictional ramblings of an illiterate grande taco, and are false in the face of truth when judged by the all-father. They are in no way real.

It's been a long time since I've heard this piece and I just wanted to say thanks for sharing Peabody. I've always been fond of Sagan and this narration really flips things into perspective in terms of macro vs micro. Bravo, and thanks for sharing. -=Archmage=-

Thanks dreamer! I read it, and Carl Sagan's voice was in my head. This piece always brings a tear to my eye. Carl Sagan's wise words have been some of the most influential on me in my adult life. He always had such a way of making the seemingly simple seem to profound, and the seemingly out of grasp coherent and understandable. Be an adult only when necessary.
