"Operation Lunchbox" - Love it. Good luck with the babies, hope most of them turn into adults. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna

very nice I too am working on a cacti forest at the moment. I have a crop of around 50 t peruvianus at the moment started around september, and wanna get another 50-100 going this month. I already have i believe 36 pachanoi/brigessi's alreaady ranging from 2-3 years old. I look forward to a furture with so many cactus that it might just be a full time job taking care of them

cool!
I need to get around to sowing some seed. It is so easy, and seed is so affordable.
Seed is the best way to generate a large amount of quality cactus in a couple of years. Far faster than growing from cuttings when it all comes down to it.

One day.. You will be a master of cacti. "Think more than you speak" "How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations" "You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available." "To see God, you have to have met the Devil." "When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru." " One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

Misted the soil until moist and covered with a lunch box lid. Put them next to a window that gets 2-4 hours of direct sunlight a day and used a heatmat during daytime. Aired out the box morning and night and kept soil moist. The direct sunlight kills any mold but the lid and moisture in the lunchbox prevents the seedlings from burning. Getting to learn real well what these little green guys like...they're pretty fussy. Low light during the day, warm temperatures, will appreciate 30 minutes- 1 hour of direct sunlight a day, like being read poetry and tucked in at night. It is important to start drying them out once all the seeds have stopped germinating, this gets plump little round children instead of long and wobbly ones. hey just a tip on your soil mix, it looks like you have sticks and pieces of wood chip in your soil. most likely from your soil, and/or compost. ive read large uncomposted woody material will rob the cacti of nitrogen. I always sift my compost and soil if theres any large debris.
