Has anyone found that after partaking, particularly in the wee hours of the morning, that they are rather rested and rejuvenated?

Now this is kind of my working hypothesis:

DMT is a tryptamine, as we all know, and so is melatonin. Melatonin is veritably produced by the pineal gland, while DMT is only speculated to be, and probably is not produced by the pineal gland...
I feel that melatonin is responsible for the vividity and intensity of dreams, as many nights of melatonin-supplemented sleep with much more vivid dreams.
Tryptamines are in themselves a great class of chemicals to study. Serotonin is also a tryptamine.
I particularly like to trip at night, because of the interaction with endogenous melatonin, kind of bringing this triad of tryptamines together.

All that being said, all three of these tryptamines in larger amounts give way to hallucinations and dream-like hypnagogic states. Being bipolar, I have seen both sides many times of the serotonin spectrum. Excess serotonin lends to manic and psychotic episodes, while low serotonin is just a generally bad time.

It's kind of weird that DMT seems to almost in a way mimic REM sleep. The DMT dreams are just as ineffible and intangible as actual dreams upon waking, and as McKenna said, just like dreams, you lose what you found in DMT almost as soon as your feet hit the floor.

So maybe all this is kind of why I find that tripping a few times in the twilight hours leaves me rather rested and rejuvenated.
