Hi everyone, I’m from Argentina. This is my first post (although I have been reading the forums since a while now), so I hope that I’m not breaking any major forum rule or something (I have read the stickies, but hey…). Also, English is not my native language so… you know… bear with me Very happy
I like to read the experience reports from other persons, and I have some mushroom experiences to share as well, so I decided to write this post as a “first attempt” to join this community.
Ok, enough of presentation… To the point now…

I have taken mushrooms three times, and despite that every experience was different, they all shared some particular aspects… Like the sense of humor. I mean, the sense of humor of THE MUSHROOM. I have not contacted any entity directly during my experiences (like in some of the reports I have read in this forums), but I can “feel it”, like if it was there, but not showing up just for the sake of not scaring me (like if I wasn't “prepared” yet). Nevertheless, that “feeling” of the entity has a tremendous sense of humor, very particular in certain ways (sometimes can be very twisted, but I always end laughing at the “joke”… even at myself). For example, in my first experience, when I had my first visual hallucinations (it was a red curtain flashing with colors) the joke came like a thought to me: -Is this what you like, monkey?-. Man, I laughed my ass off, although it was “against me”. This same thought had come to me in the following experiences, and I must say, I laugh every time, and I really feel like an ape when I discover myself thinking or acting in certain ways (like “oooh that’s so cute, is monkey happy?”).

I wonder if this sense of humor is something that other people experience too, or is a part of my personality playing with myself during the psilocybin trips…

Yes I can confirm that too. I can totally imagine being taunted and called monkey like that--funny stuff.

I have felt the same way with 4-HO MET which reportedly breaks down into mostly psilocin in the body anyway. The entire experience was completely marked by humor, and I can relate to something being there, but not making its presence known. It was like this funny wise guy showed up in my head whom I couldn't quite see. It would inject hilarious thoughts into my narrative. It was a character.

It's not always that this character is there for me, but I know EXACTLY who you are speaking of. I have even felt that ape energy, and as a result, that was the funniest night of my life. I am happy other people have had this same thing happen, and I find it fascinating to see so many describe it exactly how I would.

Awesome!

And by the way, your English is great, no worries!
