This is my first post here, but I have been a long time lurker. I have done DMT 4 times now. The first 3 times were low doses and I only experienced visual trips, but I was ready for a bigger experience.

After my first massive hit I could hear a very loud hum in my ear; like the sound of being in a jet while it's taking off. Everything was very far away, and the colors in the room were very pastel like. After my second hit, I experienced something I haven’t felt on my other trips. All of a sudden everything in the room snapped into HD color. I could feel my breathing really slow down. My roommate, who was there to take the pipe from me, was chewing on a piece of candy cane. I could hear every crunch and shatter in his mouth as he chewed it. I could hear both of our hearts beating, and as I was breathing it felt like the air had almost a thick texture to it as it went into my lunges. I looked at the pipe to take one more hit, and my hands were bright orange, and as I lit the bowl I could perfectly hear every crackle of the DMT vaporizing. I couldn’t hold my third hit for as long because I felt like I was about to shoot into the sky. I let the hit out as I fell back onto my bed. The room was vibrating; the posters on my walls broke into fractals and began to kaleidoscope. It was too intense so I told my roommate to shut off the lights and leave the room. The moment I closed my eyes the humming in my ears stopped, and I was hurled through a tube of changing fractal patterns. I could feel that I left my body behind me. I don’t know if I would call it my soul that left my body, but it was what I truly am inside that left. All my ego, emotions, memories, and fears were flying at the speed of light. A kaleidoscope of triangular faces appeared in front of me. They didn’t say anything to me, but I knew they were acting as a barrier until I was ready to fully let go. I told them I was ready, and I slowed down and found myself in a room filled with several beings. The room looked soft and all the corners were rounded (kinda like those pillow rooms in a mental hospital). The room was white, but had pillars of red moving all over the walls like a game of snake. The people in the room were also “soft” looking, with rounded edges (like gumby), and like the walls, they had red lines moving all around them. I look to one corner of the room and I see the one of the entities sitting on the ground holding a solid black figure. They didn’t say it was my body, but I knew it was. As I looked at him holding my body, a square hole appeared in my chest and all the red lines moving on the walls began to all flood into the hole in my body. The others in the room would periodically come up to me and make sure I was still doing okay. Up to this point, everything was going great. Then my roommate turned on the TV which is right outside my bedroom door. I could here the distorted voices on the TV, and I thought my trip was coming to an end. The entities beckoned me to look into the hole in my body. I could feel that there was something very vast inside of it, but I refused to look. I started to think about my roommate in the room next to me, and every time I thought about my reality, I felt like they were picking at me. It felt as if they were pushing me into the hole in my body. I became very scared, and really wanted to leave the room they had me in. They kept telling me it’s not time to wake up yet, and that they have much more to show me. I didn’t trust them and the room began to move very far from me. I moved further and further away until I floated back into my bed, and into my body. I could feel my pillow and blankets once more, and I was back in my room (still visually tripping, but nothing crazy). I couldn’t believe what just happened! I was without words for several minutes due to how blown away I was. Thinking back on it, I know the entities didn’t want to hurt me. I just wasn’t ready to face what’s inside of me. I’ll for sure be taking another journey again, but hopefully next time I’ll be ready to face what’s inside.

I recently met the entities too. I called them Shadow People, but that's kind of a misnomer because it makes them sound bad or creepy and I didn't get that from them at all.

At most they might just make you feel a little on the spot. They take human form but don't understand our mannerisms and egos. They're just curious and don't understand that it's sort of off putting to be stared at and have our personal space violated. Some of them seem to understand a little more than the others, though.

Again, it's all pretty new but I felt like I instinctively knew they were benign. We ended up communicating simply and primitively by clapping and waving at each other. If you don't flip out and seem alarmed they're actually pretty cool dudes.

Upon more reflection, it's kind of ignorant of me to assume your entities were the same as mine. Care to elaborate?

Thats a great way of explaining it. It all happened very fast so I definitely felt like i was on the spot. I'm sure I'll react differently next time I meet them.

No worries. I agree with you that they seemed very curious, and before I freaked out I was comfortable around them. I know they meant well, but the experience was so new to me that I didn't know how to react to it. As far as communication, it seemed all telepathic. They would look at me and I would instantly know what they were saying to me. I wish I could say more but I mostly observed them during my trip. When they really started to interact with me is when I freaked out , so I didn't get to explore as much I would have liked to.

Man, your roommate sounds like a real buzz kill between the noisy candy and turning on the tv outside (which is like common, you can't sit in silence out of respect and courtesy for five minutes?). Distractions are terrible for DMT experiences. It can completely derail them and take energy out of a vision. This goes doubly strong for sounds which have a direct impact on hyperspace regardless of your focus. I like flying solo, cause most people can't be trusted to sit still for me. I will usually only have other people there if they are journeying too (though I did have a phase when I started off where I had my roommates constantly interrupt me). Next time, wait till you have the house/apartment to yourself, find something convenient like a night stand or table or chair or anything to put down the pipe and lighter on, and you'll be golden. Even when roommates don't make any noticeable distractions, even when they're silently in their own rooms or whatnot, I still feel like I'm treated to some special experiences when I would get the house all to myself. The more respect and preparation you take for them, the more likely they will pull out all the stops for you.
