Hi All,

This wont be a typical experience report as I didn't ingest any cacti, but that's the beauty in the story.

A few days ago, I managed to pick up a very large T. peruvianas. The plan was to buy a cactus, then processes it, and ingest the next day. With the cactus at home, I kept marveling at the beauty of it. It's potted in a 7 gallon container and has 8 large arms. 5 of the 8 arms have two pups forming as it is about to branch into an extremely large specimen. One of the arms is growing in spiral, something I've never seen on a trich.

A dear friend of mine, an older fellow with a lot of psychedelic wisdom and knowledge, was with me that night. We we planning on ingesting cacti the next day. I asked him, "how much of it should I cut off? which arms should be cut?"

We stood over the cactus, examining it.

After 10 minutes of silence, he says, "Can you feel it? Can you feel the wisdom coming off the cactus?"

There was a long pause as my scientific mind tried to wrap around the words he spoke.

He continued on, "You don't always have to consume a plant to gain its wisdom. Its just too beautiful to cut into. If you really listen to the plants, they will tell you when its ready for you. Its just too beautiful and its telling me its not ready."

It was difficult letting go of my excitement around ingesting cacti but his words resonated deeply. The cactus is truly beautiful and maybe someday down the road it, and I, will be ready.

Looks great. Might want to up-pot into a larger container so the roots can spread out and she can get much larger. She wants to GROW. Give her some great soil so she can become what she wants and reward you for it. ;-)
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

Dude I know exactly what you mean. I just got into cacti 1 week ago. I already have 2x Achuma, 3 pachanoi cuttings, 1 peruvian torch var. wild andes, 1 juuls giant cutting. I just cannot bring myself to eat any of them now. I LOVE your torch man that things is gorgeous and I think you made the perfect decision, not to eat it. Im jealous of that torch. I cant wait for summer!

Those two look like the same clone to me just grown in different conditions.

Yours (magic9) looks like it was grown in full sun and WAP's looks like it was grown in a more shady spot. The growth characteristics are the same. There is some terminating growth on them it seems.

They're definitely the same clone.

I'm guessing the difference in color is due to photography or the lighting under which the photos were taken because the cacti were right next to each other. I almost bought the one magic9 bought and it was literally right next to mine.

Heh I cut a small pup off to taste it. I didnt notice anything outright bitter but it was not tasteless or sweet. Really not sure if it was a decent sized piece to test even. I might do another piece but im in no hurry Smile It looks too sexy to cut.
