So, my friend just got done brewing some mimosa and doing an egg cleaning tek for the first time. 60 grams in a nice 2 cup size (for four 15 gram doses in case you are wondering).

The brew is nice and milky, actually very nice! Took a sip and it's not nearly as bad as last time (which prompted 4 long years of postponement). Anyway, there seems to be 2 layers to the brew after sitting in the fridge. Top layer is nice and milky, bottom layer is dark, syrupy and liquid. Bottom layer is about 1/10th of the whole thing.

Here is the question: What to do with the bottom layer? Does it contain a good amount of alkaloids, or is it the gunk from the bottom??

Also, if anyone wants to comment on the tek, feel free.

Started with 1600 ml of water - reverse osmosis
Poured a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per 100 ml (16 total)
Simmered until the vinegar smell was gone (evaporated) (approx 3 hours)
Liquid was down to about half a liter by this point

Repeated process with pulp in another SS pot while the other pop simmered more.

Mixed the two pots together - Added the egg whites. Brought it up to a slight boil (not too much) then let it cool back down.

Removed the egg whites with a spaghetti filter

Let it simmer some more until the powdered particles were visible

Ran it through a 100% cotton sock with no dye (Didn't have a shirt available)

Simmered it more until it was down to about 2 cups total (4 oz per dose, could have gone more, but eh, it's such a small amount at this point)

Put it in the fridge for about half an hour. It separated into layers (kind of like STB extraction, but in reverse)

Poured off the top layers into two glasses while leaving the rest and now here asking what to do with it lol.

Cheers!

Well, looks like the question answered itself. After separating the layers and letting it settle even more it's clear that the bottom layer is nothing but plant material and powder. So WOW, it's actually quite impressive to get a brew so clear and milky (as opposed to syrupy and horrible tasting). Well, happy voyages!!! Looks like the flight has begun boarding.
