My only experiences with DMT have been smoking it out of a pipe/bong with it sandwiched between two layers of marijuana - I find that the marijuana high helps me mentally and physically ease into the trip (I usually get stoned beforehand as well to get me into the "psychedelic mindset," if you will). However, I'm also curious to just experience DMT by itself without any marijuana intoxication. I tried doing the sandwich method with oregano before and ended up just wasting a lot of DMT (I got no effects at all and all I could taste was the oregano for like three days afterwards). Are there any other herbs that someone has had luck with?

I still need to get a hold of a vaporizer (or make one) and have been considering trying changa as well. But there's nothing I love more than taking a bong rip for 30 seconds while my head feels like it's splitting open. There's a strange appeal for me for the actual act of smoking.

Thumbs up

Damiana, mullein, mint leaves, B. caapi leaves, passionflower, skullcap, blue lotus, perhaps a hint of sage, or any combination of the aforementioned should be rather pleasant. Personally, I have found damiana, mullein, and passionflower to produce a very smooth smoke. Mullein works wonders in that it kind of soaks up the melted DMT. B. caapi leaves would work well, but depending on how much you use and how sensitive you are to the effects of harmalas, that might not qualify as "experiencing DMT by itself".
