My wife does not like to be around me when I'm tripping. It's not that she's afraid it's just that she's in a different dimension of mind and it's just uncomfortable. I don't care if she's around or not but I understand her. She has never tripped so she has no idea what's going on in my head. She really can't connect with me while I'm tripping.

Well she has once been afraid, but not of me but more about me. Once when I was loosing it a bit at the end of a massive trip that I got a bit stuck on. But she stayed with me then because I asked her to. She helped me to ground myself and get back to reality. That was after I tripped on shrooms after I had been eating rue extracted harmalas daily for two weeks. 100-200mg's a day. My blood was probably a bit saturated with the stuff when I did the shrooms so I tripped hard and took forever to get back to normal.

I think sometimes some people are worried that being around others in that altered state might mean that person may see something in them that is normally unseen or hidden.

I have been quite surprised as to how many people who do not partake I have come across that seem to attribute taking psychedelics with an added potential for temporarily accessing usually dormant psychic abilities. DMT has especially gained a mystical stigma of it's own.

Seems like such people do not like the idea of being so openly accessed or read by others they are close to who maybe under the influence of psychedelics. One such person is my wife, who while being willing to sit in the same room with me when I journey, very quickly performs a "Cousin It" impression as soon as I place my machine to my lips.
