I did some changa yesterday, two hits, the first hit, my girlfriend was in front of me, we had just gotten in a bit of fight due to my own ego/insecurities about her past. So i took a small hit of changa, i didn't feel like i needed to do a huge one, just felt like a bit of a realisation about myself as i was creating pain not only for me, but for my partner. I discovered in my trip that every evil, demonic visual i saw was a representation of my own ego, a representation of the thoughts i had suppressed into my unconscious mind. In an attempt to better myself after the experience, i saw there was white light extending from what seemed to be my heart. I put my focus in my heart, and thats when the trip really started to feel enlightening, happiness began to tickle all sensations within my body. It was great.

The second hit, was very familiar, this time my girlfriend was holding me from behind and hugging me, i felt like my love was being absorbed by her, but then came to a realisation that we are in this together, souls connected by light, and i could use both hers and my energy to expand the white light i saw, focus on our heart, and push out all the negative thoughts, through bringing them to a conscious awareness, attempting to understand, and then feed them our love.

I do have a question... It seems to me, that each trip is highly influenced by your own thought process, if you think during the trip, negative visuals are represented to you. I have not broken through, but it definitely seems like you should be capable of meditating if you want to have a good experience on spice. However, when coming out of trips, i tend to become what i saw... to a degree... so if i saw negativity, i begin to feel negativity in my daily life. Does anyone else experience this?

perception is reality, to a significant degree when it comes to tripping. This is why meditation is absolutely essential for the psychoactive journeys; I've had bad trips which just stayed bad because I was just "riding it out" and "hoping for the best" without enough confidence and experience in these matters.
I've also had bad trips before which I turned into good ones simply with putting everything into a more positive perspective. So it really does depend a lot on the state of mind that you're in, and your own conscious response.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again here because I think it's absolutely true and relevant; psychoactive substances just give you an expression of your own conscious state, amplified... so if your consciousness is negative going in, then the trip will be a bit shaky, but if you learn to meditate within the experience and just go with the flow, allow things to happen and unfold as they will, and just be completely conscious and aware in the experience as much as humanly possible, then you have a certain self-control of your mind and it's expressions within the trip (to what degree may vary on the amount of substance taken, the kind of substance taken, as well as personal response)

So, to a degree it does depend on you and your own mental state, to another degree set/setting and proper dosage can all play a huge part.

I also do believe that this same "perception is reality to a degree" statement also applies to all of life in general and how we choose to perceive the world. A more positive disposition can certainly lead to sunnier days in a lot of instances. And, in a lot of other instances, can make bearing the bad weather a much more peaceful and relaxing experience.

As the saying goes; In the end, everything will be allright, if it's not allright, then it's not the end Razz
