This question really stumped me:
Quote:
A new legal drug that is approved by the Government comes onto the market, it is safer, reasonably priced and has similar effects to your current illicit drug of choice. How would the availability of this new drug impact on your use of your illegal drug of choice?

On one hand: safety.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I would trust the government with my brain in that way. Why I would trust a dealer/online shop instead, I don't know, but given their track record, I'm not sure I'd take any psychedelic with the governments seal of approval on it.

Blessings

Why go for the synthetic one when you can have the natural one? Big grin I don't even get why they would want to try to make a drug with the same effects instead of just legalising the one they want to mimic.

It was an interesting survey though, am curious to see the results.

The key in the above question is the "safer", whatever that means. Since the substances we mostly talk about here in the Nexus have particularly good safe margins (also supported by plenty of data), it'd be hard or impractical to say the least to make a "safer" analogue.

But think of substances like DOx, NBOmes, PCP, ketamine, opiates etc and yes, safer alternatives are possible.

Looks like they spent some time thinking about this survey.
