Terence Mckenna talks about hearing a voice on his mushroom trips and also says that you can speak to the mushroom and also tell it your not ready if need be.

I am really curious to hear if any of you have ever experienced this voice?

My first mushroom trip I found myself talking to something that I'm pretty sure was myself, but at the same time it wasn't. The messages emerged from my own thoughts but I did not invoke them (if that makes any sense).

I have never experienced the voice, but always experienced the language part of the mushroom. As if I could actually grasp the language like an object. In that sense it did seem as if the mushroom was speaking to me, but it was never as an actual voice.

I've never taken mushrooms so I don't know if this counts.

I had a dream last night in which I met the mushroom. He was male and not entirely friendly, a little threatening even. I remember talking to him but I can't recall what he said. Whatever it was, it left me with an uneasy feeling.

I have been spoken to very briefly during a session when I drank rue along with some DMT, it was at the beginning of the experience and it was only a sentence, which I have forgotten, but it was a blatant voice that wasn't mine that spoke in perfectly clear English. if I hadn't known I was alone then I would have bet my house it was someone in the room talking to me.

it hasn't happened since in the same way, I do get the weird split thoughts conversations with myself experience quite often, it feels like I can hold both sides of the conversation independently of myself which is quite odd but very useful, it is in these conversations that I have learnt things, it is these conversations that have led to most of the real world changes I have made since I began playing with the magic

Yes 3rdi! That's exactly what I get! Every question that pops up for me during a trip gets answered by 'myself'. Yesterday I learnt love is connection, fear is disconnection (as forces).

its pretty cool isn't it.

however it still feels a bit odd when part 1 of me ends up shouting at part 2, and then part 2 ends up feeling really sheepish, it is the same feeling I used to get when I was shouted at when I was naughty as a kid.

Part 1 of me totally understands that part 2 has no idea what he's talking about...so part 1 remains calm and conserved when delivering words of wisdom.

part 1 of me realises that part 2 is so stupid that sometimes he needs to be beat around the head in order to get the point, part 1 starts out reasonable but when part 2 refuses to take his thumb out of his arse I think part 2 begins to see red.

I've not dived into this years mushroom haul yet so im hoping that maybe TM was right and I can have a good chat with The Other.

On a semi-visionary dose of 4-HO MET (which purportedly breaks down into psilocin in the body) my inner narrative was getting hijacked by a number of outlandish (unseen) characters that were clearly not always my thoughts. It was predominantly the voice of an inner comedian, as the entire experience was marked through and through with elements of humor.

Well I asked this question really because I talked to this voice in length on a mushroom trip that I had. He told me he was the voice Terrence Mckenna had spoken too, it was very male very intimidating, but the most love I felt in my life. I just never talk to anyone about it really because it was so profound I fear that I am crazy

I didn't hear a voice while on mushrooms, but did experience telepathic communication with another.



Also, usually a few days after my aya sessions, I hear a very lucid, almost robot like, androgynous but gentle voice call my name. Usually in the stage before i fall asleep. Immediately after coming to my senses I'm always urged to pick up V.A.L.I.S. and read random sections of the book.

I have recieved cryptic yet quite beautiful messages while on mushrooms.
The messages seem to come a source outside the
Self . They rise up from what seem to be the deepest
Recess of the mind . For me always short sweet and beautiful in they're
Simplicity and application to my life .

I contemplate this amazing phenomenon every single day .
