So got a few plants been growing for a while now.

All the plants I have atm are one's I've been wanting to grow for a very long time.
Been growing morning glories for some time love them, got a beautiful Salvia growing wich I'm very proud of love so much! And yea the rest you'd probably know what is.

Just a quick question: my san pedro keeps on getting root rot even after its healed perfect (left for literally a few weeks with hot weather, sun shines on it most of the day) and my Salvia cutting didn't want to grow at all, left in water and all of a in a day or two it rots?

Irie!

If you are getting rot, it sounds like you may be drowning your plants roots. Maybe try easing up on the watering schedule?

is the pedro rooted?
if not it shouldn't be in a very sunny spot. a few hours a day at most in hot climates.
dont water it much if at all if it is not well rooted. hard to tell how dry the soil is with the rock top dressing... let soil dry completely between watering

good luck

If having rot problems with cactus i can recommend clay pots.
Don't use the painted ones, just untreated clay.
The water evaporates through the clay and make the roots a bit dryer and it works really well for me.
I have had rot problems before but when switching to clay pots it is a problem of the past.

Plastic pots don't let any moisture out and no air in, these are best used for plants who can tolerate a bit more wet roots.

Edit:
Sometimes a layer of stones or other decorative stuff on top of the soil in the pots also becomes trouble.
If problem with rot, remove the dressing layer if you have one so the water can evaporate faster.

Good luck with your plants.

Thanks! Clay pots sounds like good idea. I did remove those stones (friend thought the stones would look cool)

I have switched to clay pots as well LOVE them Smile less wet issues
I use rock dressing when they need to keep moisture in If u fix the moisture issues u might be able to put the rock mulch back on but I would suggest cooking them to clean them up real nice kill off any bad guys there on the rock Pleased
