Hey guys, I'd appreciate if someone with a medical background would be able to advise me.

This year at various times I've done Ayahuasca, Iboga and Kambo.

Recently I've been seeing an endocrinologist due to chronic fatigue and low libido. Flags have shown up in my blood of liver issues. He said it looked like "fatty liver" but after having a scan everything looks normal. The next step would be a biopsy.

Today my doctor was asking me about things I've taken and I told him about aya, iboga and kambo. I'd never even considered before that one or all of these could be the culprit. He was obviously very skeptical about why I was doing them and suggested that it could be one or all of them.

I'm booked to go next week to do kambo and then 2 back to back ayahuasca retreats. I'm a little concerned now. My gut feeling is that it's not any of these plants but now I have doubts.

Can anyone shed any light and put my mind at rest?

I have heard of Iboga being a neurotoxin, and your liver is the main filtration system for toxins.

Not sure of the toxicity of Ayahuasca or Kambo though.

Not an exact reply to your question, but I have a suggestion for you. I'm not a doctor, but I'd suggest a gluten-free diet to clean up your liver. Eat more veggies and fruits, pastured eggs/meat/liver, wild fish, and shellfish once a week at least. Cook only with olive or coconut oil instead of vegetable seed oils (e.g. margarine, soy oil etc). Avoid sugars, including artificial ones (e.g. in sodas, desserts, candy), and processed foods (e.g. pasta/bread/pizza, even if gluten-free). Soak beans in water for 24 hours before you cook them. Drink kefir. As long as there's nothing extremely bad about your health (fingers crossed), that diet should put your liver back to a good healthy position naturally, within 3 months. I'd avoid any strong chemicals in the meantime, including "drugs", just in case.

Better wait for corpus callosum to chime in... But it goes without saying that you first need to find what's wrong with your liver and whether you actually have steatosis before deciding what to do and what not.

I was under the impression that ayahuasca was good for your liver. This might be wrong, idk about kambo or or iboga though.
