Love and light to you sister.

Funny, in all the time I have known you I never thought you were a woman. Embarrased

I want to throw my best wishes at you as well. Enjoy the gypsy life. Having walked the road you are on (and caravaned, hitchhiked and stumbled it as well) I can only say there are a great many joys and wonders to be found thereon.

Nice that you have the courage to go against the grain. Parents, society and normal folk might think they mean well, but they tend to be rather clueless. People in Plato's Cave always try to dissuade anyone from trying to go outside into the scary bright light. But as much fun as caves can be... there is nothing like fresh air and sunlight.

Be well Cailieg. I hope your dreads turn out awesome. I've had mine since the 80's... though I trim them when they get too long. No fun sitting on your hair and I can't be bothered to always wear them up in some tam or turban or whatever. Heheheh.

"In the years I hitchhiked, hiked, caravaned and walked across this country I met people of substance, yet since joining "society" I have to look hard to find them or seek in online pockets."

That has been my reality as well. For the first half of my 20's I sort of floated around, working odd jobs for a couple months, and then taking off for a while to explore the rest of the west coast..I worked festivals for a man I knew who was a merchant basically from india..and even sort of lived part time on a nude beach.

I like being settled where I am also though, but I really don't see any of my old friends anymore or anyone from that crowd I used to be a part of. I came into that whole scene where I would be sitting around a fire with 60 year old moms alongside 20 year old kids with bags of mushrooms being passed around and drums playing. Age, where your coming from etc just sort of did not exist in that circle. It was like burning man all the time or something. Being more or less rooted where I am now has it's ups but there is a serious lack of likeminded people.

I will always be a wreck beach kid I guess..that will probly only mean something to the ones who understand what that means Smile

Have fun, Gypsy Smile
Long live the unwoke.
