I'll just do a pictorial here, as I think the Nexus can grasp the situation at hand :-)

Decided to take a little Hike upstate ;-)

Beautiful day.

Critters.

Strewn about...

Resting... peaking...

Let's go off the beaten path...

... What... what is that... blocking the ENTIRE forked path?!

Holy ... !

That is an awesome specimen. I don't care for spiders in my house, but I love pictures of them like that. Very cool.

Thank you ABay. I cannot tell you how astounding it was, to discover that spider in the middle of the forest on that beautiful day, peaking on LSD. It was absolutely profound. I mean just look at the pattern on its back, can you say COBRA/Kundalini rising. It was literally blocking the entire path, you could tell no one walked past it that day.

We were debating getting through the spider, to get to the phat lewt/treasure behind Laughing it but decided maybe it was a warning from mother nature and the web was too beautiful to disturb, of course.

Then we ended up going off trail and roaming the woods for 3-4 hours without seeing another person the entire time; deep woods hiking on LSD is a big of a challenge and NO joke lol. When the sun started going down, the tone of the trip lost its lackadaisical quality and shit got real. Glad we (barely) made it out after some back tracking, but an awesome experience nonetheless. Thumbs up

Looks like a day to remember!

I checked this thread out yesterday. Then, last night I dreamed of an orb weaver spider! How strange is that?

I have a pretty bad phobia of spiders, but I have learned to appreciate them. This one is quite beautiful!

Thanks for the kind replies C33 & Elpo! Yes, it was quite beautiful & a day to remember. The best part about it was, doing a nature getaway like that TOTALLY refreshed us, reset our circadian rhythms (ALL of them ;-)) and we generally felt great the next week.

Sakana: War... war never changes. ;-)

To the Cactus with the funky shades: Very intriguing that you dreamt of an orb weaver! Was there any significance to the dream, I am curious - i.e. was the spider just passing, was there a sense of foreboding, imparted wisdom, fear, etc? I have always been drawn to spiders since I was a child. Seriously though, I have NEVER seen anything like this one...if you told me that spider was deep in the jungles of amazon and not upstate NY, I would have believe'd ya Very happy
