Well, I did my first extraction last week and the results of the first pull are in the pic posted. I was quite happy with the results. Not waxy, fairly fluffy and a nice colour.
I had a couple of practice vapes over the last few days to get my technique right and test the waters and last night after a couple of ales I decided to up the dosage a bit. I melted about 2/3 of the size of the 5p coin onto steel wool and strapped myself in (5p coins are about the same size as your American Dimes, I believe)..
I managed to get two big tokes in before I had to put the mini bong down and collapsed back onto the bed with a bit of a burned hand. Must get myself a better lighter!
Anyway, I'd like to share the experience and ask you more practiced guys, 'what the hell happened?!?!!!'
Within seconds of laying back I saw wave like formations of blackness kind of infused with neon lights, mostly deep blue in colour and not dissimilar to bio-phosphorescence. The waves were kind of overhead and moving from left to right. This only lasted a very short time and then suddenly I felt like I was in some kind of room. I say room because I don't have any other word for the place. It wasn't really 3D but seemed flat and very small.. Sorry for my poor description but that's all I have

Despite the perceived smallness of the place, I didn't feel trapped or claustrophobic at all.
In the room the colours were fantastic but I couldn't really focus on anything. It was as if the 'room' was moving around in a circle and I couldn't move to follow the field of view. It was like looking at a rotating planisphere but with objects rather than stars and constellations. My head was stuck looking straight ahead.
Now for the really bizarre part:
In the room I was aware of a being. I couldn't see it's body and it's head was blurred but it's shape was that of a crocodile. Did I get this perception just from reading other trip reports and Strassman's book? I got the feeling that the thing knew I was there but it completely ignored me. I was also aware of other beings presence, but couldn't see any of them. I could only see shadows moving around and couldn't turn my head to look for them. I didn't feel scared or threatened in any way.
The visual experience was rather frustrating if anything. I saw patterns, but like the being, they were also blurred. Also, within seconds of coming out of the trip describing the place clearly was impossible. I'd forgotten any objects I may have seen. I think it was just a little too chaotic to actually absorb the experience fully. Could the ale be to blame for this? I wasn't drunk but had certainly had my share of Dutch courage.
The one truly lasting impression I have is that in that place, I was genderless. I was masculine but also feminine. This was very clear. I think I even saw myself. I was younger, and kind of girly looking!!!! hahaha... Very, very strange. Maybe this was the lesson for the day. In hyperspace gender is irrelevant. Any thoughts? I certainly have no hidden desire to be a chick!
Also, when I came out of it my face and pillow were soaking wet. I had been crying. I wasn't sad, I wasn't scared at all. If anything I think it was possibly tears of laughter, or happiness. My face certainly ached like I had been laughing at something. I must video my next trip!
Finally, some advice please. How long should I leave it before going in again? I would really like to try tonight without the Dutch courage. Totally sober, hydrated and well fed. Maybe the experience will be a little clearer and less chaotic.
Maybe I should wait until next weekend.. Should I maybe up the dose a bit? Was this what you guys would call a breakthrough, or even close to it?
Sorry for my long, disjointed report and thanks for reading. I'm still a little flabbergasted by the whole thing, but keen for more.
Cheers!
