Some interesting views so far, keep them coming!

I wonder if serotonin receptor agonism imparted by DMT and psilocin/psilocybin is responsible by inducing symptoms which are along the lines of a migrainous process.

But it's not only that. I feel SO tired and fatigued...this lasts def. more than 24 hours. It doesn't matter if it is a full-on trip or not. Even a small amount is enough. Perhaps trying 25i-NBOMe which is a complete 5-HT2A agonist and checking if the headaches get even worse might be a good idea ?

My natural though would be that something gets depleted after taking tryptamines. Is this even a possibility? It can't be vitamins or minerals because i've tried eating tons of fruits and vegetables, swallowing all kinds of vitamin pills...high and low dose, before and after... - no dice.

Coffee does not really help the symptoms - perhaps Kratom would be worth a try. I'm not tripping daily, so if it would work, i don't believe i'd get addicted. Furthermore, i do not enjoy kratom this much but it helps with the common cold - and possibly with tryptamine hangovers ?

I find noopept cures my hangovers every time.
Don't understand the neurological connections when using nootroptics but it certainly works.

I have thought about trying nootropics. Noopept in particular is not to my liking though, it gives me really strange thoughts and anxiety. Have you tried other nootropics? I thought about perhaps trying aniracetam. Perhaps during the tail end of a mushroom experience to potentiate it a bit, benefit from the anxiolytic and sedating effect...and then from the stimulation to offset the mushroom induced fatigue....

No...the Pept just does it too well.
20mg in the morning is all I need...more than that and it's too 'speedy' and sleep is difficult.
Some report the anxious feeling but maybe their dose was high?

edit:
I did dose 40mg dissolved in Etoh, sublingual once. That was definitely too much and jarring.

Never had an hangover from aya/shrooms/acid here. The only thing that consistently gives me one is MDMA (well, and alcohol, but I don't really drink).
This is the time to really find out who you are and enjoy every moment you have. Take advantage of it.

Im sorry to hear this is happening. Ive been doing mushrooms for the better part of 35 years, usually in heavy doses, I've never ever had a tryptamine hangover, I never even heard of one until now.

I hope we figure out a way to remedy this.

Warm Regards,

IH

just going to bump this

had exactly this happen and i was able to fix it in about 10 minutes:

400mg ibuprofen
20mg noopept + 800mg aniracetam in a gelcap
10mg noopept under the tounge
1200mg licethin
some slightly acidic beverage (apple juice should work) to wash it down
bottle of water nearby
cold temperature
lay down with your legs supported by a few pillows so the blood pools in your head
no lights or sound

good luck.

Theres so much more to the migrainous process than just headache (and in some migraineurs this can be almost totally absent); the postdrome can last in some individuals for up to a week and fatigue, which can be marked, is not unusual.

Interesting stuff! Smile
I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.
