Last year, as I was heading home from my martial arts class, I noticed a bight blue stationary light in the sky. By the time I pulled into my driveway (several minutes later), it was still there so I took a few minutes to look at it. It was too bright to be a planet, and too big to be a star. After another minute or so, it blinked out for a moment before blinking back as a bright green light. It remained stationary and bright green for several minutes before blinking out again, only to blink back as a bright red color. It repeated that sequence of blue, green, red for several minutes each and repeated at least two or three sequences before it departed.
I took a few pictures with my camera phone (my good camera was inside and wasn't charged), but there was too much nearby light pollution to get it in better detail, and the green was completely washed out by the nearby streetlamp.
