For sure. He was a genius in his own right. I still enjoy listening to his talks everynow and again. Wish he was still here to continue and evolve his theories. I am proud to say that we are up next and will continue burning a righteous path toward the clarity and understanding of psychedelics and human psychology for that matter. "Think more than you speak"

I have been reading all his books in reverse order and just finished The Invisible Landscape, really some pretty amazing stuff in there. My favorite book is still True Hallucinations, definitely in my top five books of all time. Archaic Revival is also pretty awesome. Although I don't agree with everything Terence says I appreciate the fact he spoke with conviction, and opened a lot of peoples eyes to the power of psychedelics.

I have wanted to make a thread like this bout a month ago, must have forgotten it by now. I'm saddened by the fact i can never meet T. Mckenna in person. He's such a nice, friendly personality, and pretty cool imo. Terence Mckenna was one hip geek.  He's been a guiding force in my early psychedelic explorations. I've seen him in all sorts of shapes and forms in hallucinations. His words echo through my mind, on one of the heaviest trip i've been through. Not to show-off or anything. I haven't seen a trace of him in quite a while now. Things have changed. That's why i miss him. One i've never actually met, and died before i ever heared of him. I'll actually thank him when i reach the other side  Good guy! Much love

not many ppl have had such a positive impact on my life as him, a great man with a gift providing such a powerful guiding force towards the right direction, the world is a better place because of him he might not physically be here but his spirit lives on, much love terence!

Terence was indeed a great speaker. His books have influenced me in many positive ways. Yeah, I was listening to one of his talks just last night. 2 things I love about him 1 - There was never a question that was too outrageous to ask 2 - He never claimed to have all the answers, mostly just some really good questions. There was a definite light heartedness to his rap that I think was missing from someone like Leary or even Alan Watts. Hopefully he's riding the carrier wave through a hyperdimensional funhouse and enjoying the ride immensely. Images of broken light,

Every time I hear that voice it takes me to a special place  I would have probably discovered the Spice without him, but after a failed attempt at smoking Yopo in high school I lost interest in the molecule. It was Terrance who eventually turned me back on and led me to one of the most beautiful experiences in life, not to mention the greatest web page of all time! Thanks. Yes Terence Mckenna did have a humor that was largely misunderstood, but I enjoy it very much. Mostly every speech I listen to will have me cracking up. The Unknown = A Place to Learn

You know, years before I first had the opportunity to try psychedelics (psilocybin mushrooms, to be exact), it was some writings I discovered on the internet by Terence McKenna that really made me want to trip. I'd had a (somewhat terrifying) first encounter with ego death/separation (though I didn't yet know that's what it was called) while meditating a few years before that, and just couldn't willingly get myself over that hump (and after a time, stopped meditating almost altogether). I was fascinated by his descriptions of DMT, and that's when I first learned what ego death was and recognized that's essentially what I experienced during deep meditation. That's when I first knew I'd have to take psychedelics one day. On my second mushroom trip, I finally got to experience true ego death (and I was quite ready for it this time). During that timeless moment, my friend played a Sphongle track titled "A New Way to Say Hooray", and I heard Terence describing the DMT experience. A few month's later, I was doing my first mimosa extraction. So yeah, had it not been for Terence McKenna's passion for psychedelics and DMT, I wouldn't be here typing this today(and spiritually, I'd be poorer for it). BTW, I'm totally stealing that comic.
