Etizolam (marketed under the brand name Etilaam, Etizola, Sedekopan, Pasaden or Depas) is a thienodiazepine drug which is a benzodiazepine analog.[1] The etizolam molecule differs from a benzodiazepine in that the benzene ring has been replaced by a thiophene ring.[2] It possesses amnesic, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, hypnotic, sedative and skeletal muscle relaxant properties.[3]

This is very popular in the UK at the moment, prescribed in India and Japan, and is similar to Valium, if not more euphoric imo. I have been taking 1-2 to overcome my pre flight anxieties and it has worked insofar as I now feel comfortable blasting off without it. However, there are some very negative sides to this.

The first of course is the amnesia. What a waste of incredible experiences. I will remember the first couple, then go in a few more times and not remember a thing, waking up with a greatly depleted quantity of changa.

Dampened experiences, although I have also had some great ones, they do not compare to when I used to blast off without it (my anxiety is a recent thing).

One time, I was shot upwards into a black space with purple and gold "blocks" hanging in space, the feeling of a cathedral or church. These enormous blocks were ultimately guardians of the next phase and were engaged in dialogue as to how much further I could go due to my taking of Etizolam. "Does he deserve to go any further?" type thing. I was permitted to go a little further, and my whole field of vision was taken up with a diamond shaped entity on a sky blue background showing me how he could open holes in the air in different ways Smile But out of maybe 10 breakthroughs on Etizolam, that's the only one I remember well.

The main reason for this post is the concern I have about combining MAOIs with Etizolam. I do not usually get the "changa flu", but I have smoked changa twice on it and also just the 11X caapi leaf (to potentiate cannabis), and every time, about a half hour after smoking, it seems to have the same effect of making me very flu-ey and ill for 1-3 days with fluctuating temperatures and sense of panic. I have obviously chosen to never combine these again. The reason it's happened more than once is due to the impulsive and laissez-faire attitude that arises from Etizolam use.

So to conclude: Benzos def can help with overcoming pre flight anxiety but DMT doesn't seem to like it. And I am no doctor but combining Etizolam with MAOIS seems to be a big no-no, possibly leading to serotonin syndrome. Have read about on other forums and it's not well documented at all so I hope this post is helpful. Etizolam is still basically a research chemical, so not a lot is known of its interactions, and is ferociously addictive as well.

And anyway the anxiety is all part of it really. I love that DMT can teach you so much about fear and bravery. It's just having all your day to day thoughts getting in the way that make it such an anxious experience sometimes. I must learn zazen. Peace

I agree with you that learning to let go is one of the valuable lessons DMT has to offer.
But if you want some assistance with pre-flight anxiety, maybe it's worthwile to look into jasmin oil, the smell of which has very calming properties as pointed out in this post:
