As I'm sure many others do, I have accumulated a large number of filters leftover from past extraction, and due to the fact that they absolutely reek of tryptamines, I just can't bring myself to throw them away. I have thought about trying to use one as a cigarette paper or blunt wrap, but being a scientific-minded person, I am not extremely fond of the idea of smoking a completely unknown dose. Would it be possible to perform a mini-extraction on these filters to retrieve all or most of the trapped alkaloids? I have tried just soaking them in warm NAPHTHA, but I had trouble wringing all the solvent out so I could only retrieve a small amount of the DMT and they still smelled strongly of alkaloids when dried. I was thinking something along these lines:
-Shred filters
-Soak filter shreds in pH 4 aqueous solution
-Remove paper shreds
-Basify solution with NaOH
-Pull with warm NAPHTHA
-Evaporate or freeze-precipitate
My only concern is the possibility of the filters degrading and leaving tiny fibers in my solution. Any other ideas as to why this might not work?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Just cut them up really small, put in a dish or glass, cover with minimal warm naphtha, soak and pull.
Freeze precip...voila.

Works fine.Wink
