So a LONG time ago I watched this documentary, it was from like the 60's, and it was about the clinical research done into LSD. It had a section that talked about the physical neurological affects.

In that section I remember it saying that firstly, it was found the LSD reaches peak concentration in the brain 3 hours after ingestion, and by hour 6 or something it for the most part largely out of the brain, just a small percentage still remained.

The other thing that it said was they had observed brain tissue under a microscope when it was being administered. They found that the axons of the synapses would literally pull apart from each other, literally physically unwiring the brain.

I always found those two things really profound, and really helped me understand why LSD is the was it is.

But, I forgot what that documentary was, and have never been able to find it again. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Do you know what documentary that came from? Do you even know if what it said was actually true? I really want to find the documentary again so I know the source of where that information come from because I want to be able to better validate it's actually true.
