“Come back next time when you are not clouded by earthly pleasures”. “Face us as you are and you may delve deeper passed the dull colours of an opium cloud”

This is what the intelligent presence said when I blasted off under the spell of opium. Well not opium, poppy tea really but similar effects. I warn you against this combination not because of negative physical effects or because of a bad trip but because of a boring trip. I was trying to lower anxiety with the poppies but I have subsequently learned that you must face DMT as you are with all emotion, fear and delight or the elves will not give you anything in return. I believe more and more DMT is a highly polished mirror of the soul.

These are the ramblings I typed after the trip:

"The normal brightness of the DMT experience is reduced to pastels. you are a pacified simpleton seeking pretty patterns. The creatures, the entities are not opiated creatures they are ecstatic and bubbly – they become bored when meeting a sedate person. They treat you as almost dead, they barely notice you and you miss the show. When the cloud of opiate pleasure is around you, the experience of DMT looses its magic, it becomes more ordinary, more passive, more “been there done that”, more grounded in reality."

In summary, face DMT as you are.

Sorry for ramblings but I think people should be aware of this.

I never mix any drugs with DMT or psilocybin. These compounds have taught me that lesson.

Yes, especially mixing with alcohol is a bad idea, as bad as opiates...
Rue and Caapi are obviously the exceptions: perfect harmony! I still have to try a Rue tea/mushrooms/spice combo.

I used to be such a cannabis fiend when using psilocybin(evenmore so than when not!) and I find that the most anxiety ridden trips come from the cannabis, and they muddy up the experience. Though I do enjoy using salvia when working with plants containing 5meo as well as spice, i think pure spice from mimosa is just fine by itself. Been temped to try a little hit of salvia with the mushrooms, but never had the courage and dont want to ruin the expereinece..

I tried allot of salvia tincture once and then decided to blast off. The DMT completely obliterated the saliva (come to think about it, it did as well for the poppy tea). It's actually a shame because I could feel the potential of the salvia coming up before blast off.

If anything it made the DMT visions sharper and possibly more colourful.

I usually tend not to mix psychedelics, and just stick to the one. That way I will have that one, clean experience. Although I do enjoy the occasional mixture of LSD + Ketamine.

mixing psychedelics such as 2ce,lsd,dmt,lsa+peppermint, and salvia can change the effects drastically..and are interesting places to explore...

ressurecting this older thread instead of starting a new one:

i'm reading a lot of purist replies, just wondering if anyone here has GOOD things to say about opium dmt mixing, or at least indications of not having reservations on mixing but still disliking it.

Do you think that the amoeba ever dreamed that it would evolve into the frog? Of course it didn't. And when that first frog shimmied out of the water and employed its vocal cords in order to attract a mate or to retard a predator, do you think that that frog ever imagined that that incipient croak would evolve into all the languages of the world, into all the literature of the world? Of course it fucking didn't. And just as that froggy could never possibly have conceived of Shakespeare, so we can never possibly imagine our destiny.

On a side note, SWIM has always wanted to order some poppy seeds and try the tea, but is not sure he will do so since its apparently so addicting.

I have mixed DMT with Sally,Mushies, weed, coke, and alcohol with good and bad experiences. It all depends on your intent.I think people give DMT to much power. Yes it is a very strange/powerful DRUG but thats all we really know about. I find it strange that some people turn this stuff into the most sacred thing on earth after a couple intense journeys. There is no proof that this is a messenger/communication tool/portal to somewhere but yet some on this site have an elitist attitude towards it. Which is rediculous. So I say do it in all safe situations mix it with what you want give it to anyone who wants to try iit.

I have mixed Poppy Tea and DMT.

For a while I was using Poppy Tea instead of pharma pain killers for my back.

Of course I was fully adjusted to the effects of Poppy Tea and not really in a haze or fog. If anything it reduced the anxiety of lift off.

I have never had an entity tell me that it was a problem. Cigs on the other hand have been blasted over and over by the entites.

Chazz, do you ever feel bad, dirty, or just unhappy about using opiates? When I had entites yelling at me about cig use I was battling with quitting and that may have influenced the experience (or the entites picked up on it and encouraged my quitting).

I put small amounts of DMT in my hash, just enough to cause slight visuals. Not even close to a break through dose, but it gives you great 'tryptamine giggles'. I've smoked it with a rather shy group of friends (they knew that there was DMT in the hash), who didn't know each other that well, and by the time they all had a toke everyone was dancing and singing and having the time of their lives. It is one of my fondest drug related memories and I highly recommend it to anyone. The Hash is generally overpowered by the DMT, but when it dies down, hash is a great addition to the afterglow.

SWIM was drunk the first time she tried the spice. she had an amazing breakthrough experience. although she did say it was odd coming down from it and being drunk again. Confused

spice and tobacco dont seem to get along for swim. spice told swim to stob abusing himself by smoking - swim cant spice till he is no longer smoking cigarettes - this was made very clear.
i think anything abusable or addictive is like obsessive and spice and obsessiveness dont gel so well.

tryptographer -- Would you apply this to MHRB tincture as well? I've been using this as my dmt source with good results... do you think a small amount of alcohol is okay or do you speak of 'getting drunk' prior to a trip? I could def see that as a problem.

I mean 'getting drunk', I think the tincture is ok. It's not like an absolute dogma, the last thing I want is to sound like a preacher..
Maybe bad experiences/combos with alcohol are triggered by a hidden feeling of guilt, rather than real angry entities. But too much obviously blurs the mind and makes you over-confident.

As for the spice on alcohol...
SWIM's first attempt at this left him apologizing like a little kid that just killed
his brother's dog. There was so much guilt and pain.
The only thing is though, he went into that trip with the "HELL YA, I'ma trip balls!!!" attitude.

With very different results, SWIM has smoked strong doses on top of a few beers.
He found they helped relieve his normal anxiety and fears which led to very positive experiences.
...

Anything posted on here is relayed fables from a friend of a friend
who does not own a computer. Since SWIM cannot type these up himself,
I reiterate his fictional ramblings word for word to be a nice guy.

SWIM thinks you are completely right on with this idea, he often thinks this too. Due to the nature of entheogens, and how they essentially offer a pure, unadulterated look at our soul and environment, it only makes sense. I believe the same goes for those who encounter entities that dislike their habit of smoking cigs. Does that swimmer look down upon his 'addiction'? Does he feel he is causing harm to himself by smoking cigs? etc... etc...
