Actually, the guys in the video raise a good point about the mushrooms.

They claim they were expecting a raid and actively preparing for it: I can't imagine that Kokesh would have left Schedule 1 drugs floating around his house if he thought that Uncle Sam was going to come knocking.

I have no problem believing that the feds would have planted drugs there to get him.

Blessings

I mean when you really think about it, considering the circumstances how could a group like that not expect and be prepared for a raid on their house after his civil disobedience gun stunt in DC?

I wouldn't be surprised either way to be honest- planted mushrooms or not planted. It just boggles my mind that many people here assume the latter and completely discount the former as even being a remote possibility.

Is that position based on an open minded approach that considers the possibilities through reason without being swayed by emotions? Or is the fact that they just don't like him and how he acts in regards to dmt and in general more behind it?

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Me neither. But seeing that short video it becomes immediately clear:
he seems to be suffering from both Psychosis & Narcissism. Severely.
This guy is high on himself. If you're insane and might do harm to yourself, that's bad enough, but still within your personal freedom(Your Free choice) IMHO.
But his mind is so saturated with insanity that it's now threatening to spill
outside of him so that others are at risk of being harmed by it.(Not their Free Choice!) I'm glad they're locking this man up.

And indeed, as has been said here before, what an abismal representation of the Psychedelic Community. As if the Psychedelic had such a great reputation to begin with. Rolling eyes

What we need now, if we(the Psychedelic community) want a shred of credibility again,
is for this guy and his actions to be harshly condemned by other, sane representatives of the Psychedelic community. We must make it VERY clear to the public that our community does NOT condone his actions and that, allthough it doesn't happen too often, for once we are 100% in agreement with the Law Enforcement's decision to arrest him.

We may not like being in the spotligfhts, like Adam Kokesh clearly does, but if we don't circulate some media about our condemnation of Kokesh's actions, the mainstream media is going to use this incident to demonise our community into oblivion.

Terrence McKenna is a perfect example of a good, sane representation of the Psychedelic community. He may be weird & deluded in the eyes of many, but he is by no means violent or threatening. On the contrary: McKenna "fights" the Dominator culture(his words) by closely examining and scruitenising their ideologies. Also, he doesn't just criticise this Dominator culture. He goes on with his theories & ideologies as to how we could live in a more harmonised, peacefull and intelligent way.

McKenna's style of defying the dominator culture is a clear example of:
"The Pen is might mightier than the Sword"

That is how you represent the Psychedelic community with credibility & dignity.
The Psychedelic community(and any ideological group, really) desperately needs
less Adam Kokeshes & more Terrence McKenna's, if you know what I mean...

QFFT

I wouldn't put it past kokesh to kill people to achieve whatever his goals are. Innocent people that are just confused, scared, and following orders to feed/support themselves, and their families.

Fundamentalist pretty much is a good title for this guy, and idk what cause your fundamental about, your dangerous and in all likelihood confused and wrong/bullheaded. Especially when you consider getting violent to achieve your goals.

Which he has made clear are his intentions several times (though no actions of his show this to be the case, i wouldn't put it past him to kill people who need not be slaughtered).

"let those who have talked to the elves, find each other and band together" -TMK

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.โ€ - Wendell Berry

Did he have the mushrooms planted? It is possible. Should he go to prison for being a dickhead? I don"t think so (but i am not 100% sure on that one). Should he be castigated for his crimes against fashion? Yes, definitely.
At the end of the day all we can do is speculate about him as the various soundbites come in. I certainly do not see him as a representative of the psychedelic community.

If he is serious about his causes and not just materially profiting from his endeavours, then maybe a bit of prison time will serve his purpose. Look at Nelson Mandela. He did serious time and then became president. Adam Kokesh could be playing the long game.

If U2 are still together in 20 years time we could have a benefit concert to raise awareness and get him sprung.
