About 2 years ago, I became entranced with psychedelics and entheogens after my first shrooms trip. I researched and read, tripped multiple more times (mostly shrooms, LSD a few times), and as I tried to get the materials to grow shrooms in order to experience the down-to-earth part of it, obstacle after obstacle kept springing up: my pressure cooker got stolen; my mason jars "fell" from a second story window; my spores were bunk; I could not obtain spores.

I decided the time wasn't right for shrooms, so I focused more on school and marijuana. And then I learned about this holy grail. I thought that because I liked to trip and knew how to control myself on a basic level, DMT was the obvious next step; the Universe thought differently. Again, I put it on the wayside in favor of other things.

I am so glad I did.

I realize now just how immature, and honestly selfish, I was being in trying to attain the highest of highs in our human consciousness. An opportunity arose and I decided the time was right, and that I was in need not only of spiritual guidance but of release, and I feel it in my gut that this wasn't just chance.

I just extracted a small amount using a STB tek, and am about to take my first small hit of about 25mg to test the waters using the original VG.

As a side note, I realize this post isn't entirely coherent. It's mostly stream of thought because the reality of the situation is dawning on me. I'll try and elaborate more after my first experience.

Well, folks, the reason I have been away is quite a story.

Some background: At the time of my extraction, I was living in a multi-bedroom apartment. All of my roommates were ok with my extraction and experimentation as long as I didn't bother them with it. At one point, the time of my extraction, all of my roommates were out of town or staying with parents/girlfriends. As I thought I had the apartment to myself, I extracted and left my equipment on the kitchen counter; that was my mistake.

Unbeknownst to me, a friend of one of my roommates was staying in his room. While I was away at work, this particular guy saw my set up and called the police under the assumption that it was a meth lab.

Samples were taken, I wasn't arrested, but everything was confiscated and I was kicked out.

The samples they took were reportedly sent to my states "labs" to determine what they were. (I did not tell them it was DMT.) The lawyers I've spoken to claim that they don't believe my state's "labs" even have the capability of testing for it, so it has probably been sent to a much larger lab in another state.

This lab is quite backed up, and the lawyers say there is a good chance it will take more than a year to come back with a result, let alone some kind of charge against me.

I seem to be in the clear at the moment, but I'd like to use this opportunity to warn everyone on this magnificent site or any lurkers who may read this, be careful with what you're doing. Though I feel that we're working with an intrinsic "right," that is, there is nothing inherently wrong, others, particularly the law and other uninformed persons, will try and tear you apart.

Please be careful with your trips to hyperspace. Don't let what happened to me, happen to you.

I did follow the attitude rules. I approached every one of my roommates and asked for their permission to do it in our shared place. My roommate let someone stay in his room without telling me, which is why the problem arose in the first place. I stand behind the fact that I was in the right, though the outcome is negative regardless.
