There being so much acacia talk here, and lots of Australians..and the fact that I realized I have been pretty interested indigenous cultures(mostly native american) for a long time now and even spent some time studying anthropology formally, but don't know anything besides superficial surface level stuff about Australian indigenous cultures I figured a thread is a good idea.

People throw around the term "dreamtime" often, especially in these circles so maybe if anyone has some good info they can put it here. I think Indigenous wisdom is one of the most important things, that is being lost in our world.

I'm interested too; their formal religious practice seems to be a "selective anamism" of sorts.

Dreamtime in the aboriginal sense isnt related to dmt its about stories and mythology behind how the country and identity of the tribes were formed however with there being so many acacia trees in Australia that contain dmt I wouldnt be surprised if it has played a part. Especially when I read quotes like this..

Dreamtime what you used to be able to buy in headshops was a changa type mix I believe..

Echoing what DreaMTripper said, dreamtime or the dreaming is the creation myth of the Australian aboriginal peoples.
