there was recently a post about the third eye... so i thought it might be interesting to ask how many people have actually experienced the chakras during their sessions...
SWIM had never relied on second hand beliefs himself yet started having experiences of the third eye during his first 5m3odmt sessions then the crown charka... then during lsd experiences and DOM experiences third eye and crown chakra experiences started to get more intense... ie sensations in those areas of the head then full on very powerful trips focused on these areas... amazing things...
then during SWIMs first DMT session SWIM felt all of his chakras open up a channel of energy down the center of his body started to swell and fill and it felt like swims entire body was splinting in half... with points of energy in the the traditional concept of chakras areas opening up filling swim with more energy... it was over whelming... since then the chakras have been a reality... or let us say swim has found energy centers in swims body that correlate with the description of chakras...

SWIM is very sensative to somatic sensations in the body... SWIM knows that not every one else is...
if you have felt these energy centers during your sessions with DMT lets talk about it here eh?

I have been waiting for the kundalini to rise. I am trying everyday to increase my concentration levels. Focus. Focus. Focus. I have done some research into the area and believe that the buddhist monks have really got it going on. In their quest for enlightenment, they are told to dismiss psychic experience such as OBE's as distractions to their ultimate goal. They rigorously train from the root chakra up and when all centers have been cleansed of their earthly byproducts. The kundalini energy stored at the base of the spine becomes active and rises through the chakras, activating them sequentially and ultimately meeting the crown chakra and activating Shiva. In other words, attaining enlightenment.

Dmt was given to a buddhist monk once by McKenna. He said it took him to the deepest part of the Bardos one could go and travel back. No room here to elucidate. Just wiki it.

Sounds like you may have triggered a kundalini event. Be careful, this is energy not to be toyed with. If unprepared, it can cause psychic damage. Look up the IDA and the PINGALA. The kundalini is broken up into these two equal parts. If they don't rise simultaneously, there could be trouble.

Be cautious, but let us know what you find. Thanks for the post!

Oh i had a kundalini experience years ago... learned alot... great thing to have happen in ones life...
the buddhists would probably think of kundalini as being some what of a distraction from the path in and of its self... they seem to focus strictly on midfullness in most schools but vajrayana and even then... you seem to be mixing hindu yogic pratice with buddhism which seems in some ways to go together... but in mot ways it doesnt. i personally just seem to go with what ever seems to be occuring naturally... the kundalini experience i had was just a fluke... but none the less very meaningful.
I wouldnt focus on it happening its a side effect of practice and a natural progression it would seem but nothign to focus on... it happens and then it passes... much like samedhi...

Thanks for the clarification. I need to 'take better notes' as it were. I just know it has not happened to me. No OBE no kundalini rising. I believe I am a spiritual infant. Still need training wheels. I will keep on exploring. My psychedelic use was curtailed early in the adventure. Wife. Baby. Only recently have I begun the REexploration of my mind. Anyway, keep us posted.

well here are some thoughts if your open to them, I asked for guides to help me early on, which is not an abnormal practice around the world... even Buddha taught the teaching on vulture peak with the help of manjurushi who spoke through his body and was not incarnated at the time. Bodhisattva at the time of the Buddha originally meant something like spirit guide loosely translated. So keeping that in mind, asking for help from a tutelary spirit has been done by spiritual practitioners and shamans around the world... and many shamans learn directly from these spirits. if you want to accomplish some spirritual task or you have a spiritual goal you can ask for the highest spiritual guide available to you to help you with that goal. This has been done for a very long time. in some cultures it is an animal spirit, usually an animal spirit can actually change into humanoid form as well. for me i have human and non-human guides, ancestors and guides who are niether human or animal... when i had the kundalini experience it was with the help of a female entity that i had asked to come and teach me about the energy body, she taught me about energy and energy work and the inevitable process was leading me to what is called the kundalini exeprience, but to me it was an opening of all of my energy centers and that combined with a more shamanic experience of being eaten by a gaint cobra i became the cobra and the energy rose, the hood opened and i was open to the whole, a bright whitish blue bolt of light came through the top of my head to the bottom of my spine and I was open to the totality infinite voices spoke as one and told me about my nature, and i was those voices and they where me... and i learned that there was no duality, no negative or positive energy... just energy moving and doing what it needed to do... and that included me...

but yes asking for a tutelary guide, spirit, entity what have you and communing with that guide and allowing it to move and help you can be very VERY helpful...

Long before finding DMT I’ve been fascinated by eastern esoteric spiritual practices including this idea of opening the chakras and raising the kundalini energy. I’ve practiced hatha yoga and other meditations for many years with limited results. As I mentioned in an earlier post, this could be due to my hectic schedule and the general requirements of maintaining friends and family. Ideally, when life permits, I desire finding a quiet place tucked far away from this noise… but all in due time.

To your point on chakras -- wow. DMT seems to be a key for opening these energy centers and, with proper intent, allow one to raise this sacred energy at the base of the spine. My method of attack was with a kind of pharmahuasca which lasted many hours. Keep in mind that the first kundalini experience is VERY PAINFUL! As one brings the energy up through the chakras many physical ailments and deep-seeded negative energies are cleared. Analogous to lye cleaning a clogged sewer pipe. (forgive my poor description -- I am in no way versed in energy work since I thought it false until this experience)

I sat in front of the fire just feeling this energy. Working with it. Bringing it up slowly. As I did this, many cracks and pops rushed through me. Until finally, it hit my head. Best I can describe, it poked into my brain, said hello, and continued to work through the rest of my body. The intuitive voice guiding me said this is the cleaning, next you’ll have the grand experience (as if this wasn’t grand enough!).

All in all, this was only my second true DMT experience. I have, however, prepared and hoped for this moment for many years. I came to DMT with the intent of spiritual pursuit, and so far my “guides” have been graciously showing me the way. I’ve called through space and time for help with spiritual matters and this key is what I’ve been searching for. Whether or not these “guides” truly exist is irrelevant, I need SOMETHING there with me through these experiences. So far I’m still a lone traveler trying to find my way through the vastness of this “new” reality.

Interesting. Not with DMT, yet, but with good ole THC I have had a sensation of a Third Eye, a very focused concetration of energy on a spot on my forehead in-between but above my two normal eyes. I think that is a chakra, right? I've also done some meditative exercises suggested by Antero Alli (modeled after RAW possibly) that gave me sensations in the base chakra and the top-of-the-head one. With DMT I'm usually too distracted by the the total weirdness to focus on these energy centers but maybe with a smaller dose, once I get a better handle on it......

thats interesting the expereince SWIM had was not painful, but it was scary up until the point it happened swim was very focused on whether the expereince was positive or negative... what swim learned was that there is neither positive or negative any thing...
