I'll likely write a much more detailed report about my experience with ayahuasca, but for now i will just relate something odd that occurred.

I was having a difficult time coming down from five grams of mimosa hostilis and three grams of syrian rue. I decided to have my wife escort me on a walk to attempt to clear my head. I was going through what seemed like waves of sober and waves of feeling the effects of the brew, which at the time wasn't pleasant.

After walking for about two miles I could see a house in the distance with five children outside of it, two were on high chairs and holding a white ribbon with nothing written on it. It looked as though it were a finish line of some sort. The children were all waving and seemed happy to see me, cheering me on. I turned to my wife and asked her if what i was seeing was really there to which she assured me it was. We both thought it was very strange at the time, and in fact still do.

The moment i walked by them I was completely sober of the experience, no lingering effects whatsoever. In fact, i felt relieved and refreshed.

I wasn't ever able to figure out what these children were doing, but it still amuses me to think of how it worked out. As a bit of a humorous side note, i was re-reading Cosmic Trigger by Robert Anton Wilson at the time i went back to the house (i run by it daily) and decided to add up the numbers which make up the address - 23. Made my difficult experience a lot easier to laugh at.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Sometimes, coincidence is a bit much Smile

Your post is the first I've read in a few days -- been away from the nexus a bit. I too have struggled with mimosa/rue tea comedown. I haven't really found a good way to calmly come down through the waves of ego/no-ego without it feeling like insanity sinking in. One trip coming down really felt like some serious padded wall, straight jacket insanity. Others have mentioned trying yoga, stretching, etc. I'll try more of that next time.

Oddly, I just finished reading cosmic trigger a couple days ago. Synchronicity? Maybe...

the gates of chapel perilous have surely opened

i think i will try yoga next time. on a previous experience with mimosa i remember stopping and thinking to myself something like 'well, i've finally did it this time, maybe i can still live a normal life semi-insane like this'. the worst part about that time was that i had no recollection that i had consumed anything related to ayahuasca, i just had a vague notion that curiosity finally strangled that cat though i wasn't even sure what i was curious about.

i think my main issue is an inability to completely let go. i've started to meditate on it daily in preparation for my next voyage.
