This little dreamoar was fortunate enough to be camped next to a nice man from Costa Rica at this years gathering of the tribes of the Rainbow Family of Living Light. Despite making it very clear that "I am nobody special" he was clearly a very wise and knowledgeable healer and medicine worker.

Of course, sooner or later our conversation led to ayahuasca and yopo and he brought out several curious seeds he said he uses in ayahuasca and snuff. These are clearly not your common cebil or yopo seeds. Would anyone here be able shed some light as to what species these may be?

He said they are called by the common names Bull Eye and Monkey Heart.

P.S. - Sorry for the low quality pics, all I had available was my phone camera.

Upon further research, these are some likely species:

Mucuna sp.
Enterolobium sp.
Dioclea sp.
Entada sp.

..i'm guessing it's a Piptanedia (related to Anadenanthera and Acacia) ..but hard to be sure without at least leaves or flowers..most certainly very interesting..

Found this very useful site:
http://waynesword.palomar.edu/mucuna.htm

99% certain the one he told me was "the best one" the one that kind of has 4 sections is Merremia discoidesperma.

I think the big one may be Entada gigas.

The other two are likely Mucuna sp. Mucuna sloanei and Mucuna urens are good possibilities.
