For first timers.
One may need to realize that it took me about 50 journeys to get used to DMT. It of course may be different for others.
My first trip totally destroyed and blew away everything I thought I ever knew. That scared the Hell out of me. I was disturbed. Call it cognitive dissonance, or maybe more specifically "deterritorialization" in Deleuzian terms. It can even cause anxiety or depression.
It took me months, or even a couple of years to get used to the fact that maybe the things I was experiencing may be more real than what I saw around me, or, just a pure hallucination. It is easy to get caught between the lines, which causes much distraction and confusion.
Basically what I am saying is that it can take at least 30-50 tries or more before one gets comfortable, before one can just do some DMT and get on with normal everyday activities, business as usual, but while still reaping the benefits and not letting your thoughts be consumed by the experiences. Just like going to church on Sunday, and then moving on during the rest of the week.
This may help first timers realize that one can actually get used to the experience of DMT, and that one may just have to do it numerous times to get to a more level playing field, and not live in fear. It gets much easier over time. This is good news for true seekers.
Peace.
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.
