hi how is everyone on this fine day Smile

I have been extracting dmt for two years now and drinking aya for a bout a year, all up I have had 6 oral doses, 2 journeys with cappi and chacruna, 2 journeys with mimosa hostillis and rue, 1 journey with pharma (freebase dmt and HCL harmalas and finally a journey with my new source of dmt (acacia acuminata) and rue.

my last experience was last week and I have been evaluating what happened everyday and putting what I learned into practice. so a week later and I feel like drinking again, I don't want to abuse the spirit of the plant so I am a bit cautious about entering into another oral dmt experience. i learnet so much last week and i believe i am ready to go again.

i have heard that when you go to a retreat and stay with a shaman you can drink up to a few nights in a row?

haha i don't want to seem silly because this is probably a dumb thing to ask but i just feel like i need to hear from someone else that its ok.

how often do you think i should drink aya? this is probably a question i should be really asking myself. my 'self' is saying yes but im just not sure..

anyway thanks so much for reading. any advise would be appreciated.

much love, peace and light <3 nexians

Only you can know really. Others and I have done it once or twice a week for a year or more. That was great for me at the time, but lately I haven't been in a position to do that. A lot depends on the person/set/setting/context/etc..so there is no set point where its certain to become "too much", because it varies for everyone and depends on where they're at in their journey

Just take time off to integrate and ground yourself when needed, and go with what feels right Thumbs up

And yeah its not uncommon for groups to hold ceremonies several nights in a row. There is even apprenticing shaman who sometimes drink every night for a period of time

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

^^^^^this, trust yourself.

I think that if you begin to abuse the spirit of the vine she will let you know it in no uncertain terms. If it feels right to you then do it.

I don't know what your goals are, but I bet that your goal isn't simply to ingest ayahuasca at a particular frequency. So, in that case, I would suggest you focus on quality over quantity. I've used ayahuasca a lot in the past year, and I've found that one quality experience can get you a lot further along than several meh experiences. If you make quality your primary goal, frequency of use will probably become a non-issue. In my case, sometimes I'll use it several times a week, sometimes only once a month. The goal is simply to have one quality experience around the time that I naturally want one, and the trip frequency is simply the number of attempts I make.

not silly question at all mate, i also pondered this before, personally i found the sort of context that retreats do it in can be very beneficial. found when i just do one journey dont get too much out of it, its usually more about shedding outer layers but if i take it again 1 or two days later i found it sort of builds on the previous journey and you are able to go much deeper. So i usually take a 2 or 3 journey vacation whenever feel its calling Thumbs up

I drank 4 times in a row, and this 3 times last year. Everytime the session was over i felt i could have go on like this for more days/weeks. The only downside for me was a loss of weight. While this may seem a good thing for most people, i actually lost too much weight.
A friend of mine stayed in Peru for 3 months and he drank more than 33 times. Sometimes 4 times per week.
Unless you feel the spirit is telling you to slow down, go for it. Could be that Aya is rewarding your dedication.

Sounds like Psycholytic vs Psychedelic. Different ways to peel an egg, arguments for both.

I lean toward a couple mind blowing psychedelic experiences over hundreds, personally. I've eaten LSD 3 times in my life, once I ate somewhere in the area of milligram, it wasn't on blotter paper but computer type paper and I never measured it or knew the dosage, but I do know it melted my face clean off. At the one hour point I was already tripping so hard I could barely move my body. Once it all hit me and I peaked, I had about... 3 minutes of useful consciousness, in which time I glimpsed at nirvana and felt sublime peace and well being for all lifeforms. I could feel the drug overpowering me, the feeling was similar to being put under anesthesia, feeling it bubble up from inside of you while everything becomes fuzzy, slowing losing your grip on everything. I laughed at this lying on my back in the dirt, singing a song, watching the infinite fractal rainbows shooting off the treetops swaying in the moonlight.

I then blacked out, for 6 hours, during which time I ran into the woods. I came to lost, dirty, and confused to the point where I was entertaining the idea I had perma-fried myself and was now wandering an purely fictitious mental mirage while my body lay lifeless elsewhere. Pretty common reaction to frying your balls off I have come to realize.

Anyhow that was a tangent. I just have a problem with habitual usage, I think that it is counterproductive to the experience. In talk therapy, a clients build a relationship with your therapist and over the course of time work out his/her problems. The therapist has an invested monetary interest to keep the sessions going, which clearly has to retard their progress in one way or another. The client has formed a bond with the therapist and wishes to keep visiting them, retarding their own progress by whatever means happens to occur; creating new non-problems, subconscious refusal to apply solutions, whichever whatever. Other dynamics exist that also hinder resolution of the issues that the client originally sought help with. This is always looming in the background.

The scenario relates to psychedelic therapy in the same way. Work is calling me, I can finish this thought later, but realize that I'm not telling you how to live your life, merely chiming in with how I live mine for contrast.

I think it depends largely on what you want to get from Ayahuasca.

If you're looking for a life-changing, perspective-shattering spiritual experience, that's probably not something you should try for very frequently. Partly because I feel repeated exposure might diminish the glory of the experience, and partly because I would worry about your mental health.

I have heard of people daily micro-dosing of Ayahuasca. I'm not sure about the exact dosage, but since it doesn't build a tolerance, you can use it as a daily tonic. How far you want to go is largely up to you. I could see using it in the evenings, after a day at work to reconnect yourself to the universe for a bit.

My 2 cents.
