This pic was taken of me spinning fire poi. I don't usually buy into the "orb" thing as they have been de bunked as dust particles out of focus but I have seen some that are peculiar. This one in particular because its behind the fire poi.

What did they do to debunk the orbs?

You posted this in the mysticism forum. I suspect that you lean towards a mystical energy of some kind....something magical, vibrant and conscious is at work in our world. We can feel it, see it, experience it in all sorts of ways...but we can't really talk about it very well, we mostly just blather and throw all sorts of words at it. What is it? Who can really say what anything is. It depends on what your definition of is is. See, I'm blathering.

@ Global, You can recreate the phenomenon by clapping dust in front of a camera. The camera is focused on object further away so dust particles or insects will blur creating orb's. However much like crop circles, some are a hoax but other rare ones show evidence of not being made by stomping the wheat grass's down, some orbs are a improperly focuses lens but others such as this pic posted cant be explained by dust. The tell tale sign of actual un explained phenom's are when the orb is located between objects. If it was a dust paticulate it would obscure anything behind it but not in this shot.

@ Doodazzle- I feel many orbs are explainable but some are not. I feel energy of various types can be captured on film. I took some interesting pictures many years ago at an infamous civil war era graveyard in Connecticut near the house i grew up in. out of 36 exposures I captured 5 or 6 amazing shots of white mist shrouding certain grave stones. i took a pic of my then girlfriend and had her put her hand out to her sides palms up and hovering above each palm where swirling white clouds of energy.

Ill try to remember to dig them out of my storage space here on the farm next time I'm rummaging around in there and post them if anyone's interested. A few were donated to the Warrens. They are a famous husband wife team of a Demonoligist and psychic medium that are considered the authority in these types of phenomenons. After a lecture i attended of theirs I showed them the pics and they were quite impressed at the clarity and detail so i gave them a couple to use in their speaking tours.

I think it looks very peculiar but is probably a lens flare, such as this one, caused by whatever light source appears to be past the top left corner of the picture.
