I am currently soaking 112 grams of leaf in 99% ISO. I have read different reports of how long to soak the leaf in the alcohol for, some saying no more then 2 weeks, others saying a month or more.
I imagine that at a certain point, one would be pulling out nothing but chlorophyll and such, and not the harmalas. So how long does this take? Are the people saying 2 weeks getting all the goodies out, and just not the extra junk in there? Or are they missing more of the alks that the month long soakers get?
Anyone who has experimented with both methods with the same batch of leaf and tested its alkaloid percentage?
