I have been seeing various fabaceae species all over..some that look more like mimosa trees and others that look different but are def fabaceae..it is a large family but I really doubt the whole family has actaully been thoroughly studied for tryptamine content.. I will have lots of different local plants in the family to ID over the comming weeks..but here is one that i find growing right out of sand all around the beach here..and there is lots of it.. I grabbed one and just took it home and potted in the same sand from the beach cus I like the plant..but I would like to ID it and find out what alkaloids it might have... jamie attached the following image(s):  DSC05173.JPG (2,703kb) downloaded 91 time(s). I think it is Lathyurus japonicus... There is Robinia Pseudoacacias all over also..and I know they are not reported to contain any tryptamines(and I think contain some toxins)..however another member here told me that they harvested either the seeds, or the seed pods(not sure which) and made some kind of extraction or smoking mix out of them and claimed they achieved tryptamine effects..please do NOT quote me on that. It is not my information it is second hand and might not be true at all..but it is what made me want to look more closely at the whole family concidering it is pretty widespread. there is some other fabaceaes that look interesting in the park across the street from me I will take pictures of real soon. ..nice thread, jamie.. Fabaceae is such a vast family..kings (or queens) of symbiotic nitrogen fixing.. not sure yet what your above picture is.. a particularly fascinating group of Fabaceae plants is Desmodium, with some interesting alkaloids reported from some..the last pic reminds me a little of desmodium..

might be rosaceae too.. they have similar leaves. My wind instrument is the bong
