Well, the members list indicates about 1,200 pages of 20 individuals each. 24k is the base pool, of which most are not active.
I would imagine the actual number of 'members' depends a lot on how you define it. Does it include our 'New' members? Does an individual have to post within the last 6 months (I took a full-year hiatus)?

The US govt is simply waiting for the number of members here to hit 100k before they admit that the war on drugs is wrong, apologize, and legalize everything. Patience, patience
