SWIM's friend of a friend got 200mg FB spice and dissolved it in 5ml DMSO. He rubbed it on the inside of its arm and it absorbed pretty quickly.

He didn't feel the slightest. He is convinced spice is not supposed to work that way.

Here is another thread on the DMT-Nexus about DMT and DMSO:

DMSO does work sublinguially but our experimenter will have a biting garlic-spice breath for mucous membranes on your cheeks and mouth will push out DMSO (a byproduct of wood pulping) compounds into a powerful perfume.

DMSO is way overrated. Most things will not pass through your skin even if dissolved in DMSO. However, as a sublingual carrier it’s a little effective and does work a little for DMT.

69ron, why would anyone want to put DMSO in their mouth?

In some countries DMSO is used for applying all sorts of sublingual medications. It works better than alcohol as a sublingual carrier. It also doesn't burn like alcohol does and many claim it actually has health benefits. I haven’t seen any good studies showing that small amounts are harmful to human, but in the USA the FDA has not approved it for sublingual use.

For an occasional test here and there, that’s fine. But I wouldn't go around using it all the time until more studies are released on it.

DMSO is fine; it is an ingredient of many cosmetical creams because it is supposed to be a good carrier of substances through the skin.

But this is the thing; throught the skin does not equal into the bloodstream. It's OK with cosmetics as mentioned because they need not to go further than the layer of skin. But dmt is a different story. dmt needs to go into the bloodstream .SWIM does not know whether DMSO can actually carry dmt into the skin. Should it does so hoever, it should not (at least in theory) differ much from a subcutaneous injection. SWIM has never heard anyone injecting dmt subcutaneously.

Re to DMSO in the mouth, it is OK to do it. SWIM has done it, just for the taste of it. SWIM didn't couple it with any drugs. SWIM did it because he loves the taste of garlic. SIWM's DMSO however did not give him this garlicky aftertaste some people describe.

As far as expediting sublingual delivery of any chemical it should be stated that menthol is an excellent choice. It dilates surface blood vessels and it tastes good! Useful for thh, etc. Never tried it with spice, though.

Also, alcohol aids in absorption. So a little swish of some Scope or other menthol mouthwash could help the cause.

Hope that helps.

I've got to try menthol crystals. How much would you use? Peppermint oil or peppermint extract is probably safer though than pure menthol.

For sublingual dosing of anything, I don't like alcohol. It burns a lot. I think DMSO is better, and it's solvency tends to be higher than alcohol for a lot of compounds. There are many alkaloids that are more soluble in DMSO than alcohol. Plus it tastes better than alcohol.

Salvinorin A absorbs much better sublingually with DMSO than with alcohol. It even works better in acetone than with alcohol. Alcohol works better for some other alkaloids though. It all depends on the solubility of the alkaloid.

If you want to open up the blood vessels, try adding some calcium hydroxide! It burns just like alcohol and opens up the blood vessels much better than alcohol does. Plus it doesn’t taste bad. That’s why it’s used for betel nut chew, coca leaf quids, and other similar sublingual drugs. If alcohol worked as well, they would use alcohol, but they don’t, they use a tiny bit of calcium hydroxide (always wrapped in leaves to prevent direct contact with the mouth to avoid ulcerations).
