Here some beautiful photos of some fungi I found recently. Keep in mind im a musician and not a photographer, but i thought these were nice enough to share. First off are some beautiful amanitas growing brilliantly at different stages under pine. Next are some pics of a strange looking but beautiful wild edible called The Elfin Trumpet mushroom. Notice the swiss cheese look its got goin on! Finally some very strange but beautiful mushrooms. What could they be??? Nice the top few look like potentially psychedelic aminitas did you pick them and dry them out? Also the last one looks like it maybe a psychoactive one, but have someone else give you a better ID, unless you already know, I'm no mycologist but I did some studying and mushroom hunting of my own within the last few years so am trying to learn. lol i was joking about not knowing what the last ones were, I actually cultivated those hahaha.
But yes those amanitas were picked in the PNW about an hour out of san francisco and i have used them multiple times from that spot and they are quite powerful.
Personally i like that first photo the best. It highlights the sharp jagged edgy texture of amanitas when theyr'e young. The sharpness of the mushroom speaks to its character.

I had a feeling the last two were homegrown, but didn't want to assume, and as for the wiggly wavy nasty looking black cap ones between aminitas and the last few I wouldn't eat them until I knew for sure. The aminitas I would potentially take a small sample as far as I am aware red ones have no REALLY TOXIC look alikes but the yellow aminitas (Pantherina) has a poisonous look alike call aminitas phaloids I believe. I found some A. Muscaria last year. Maybe I will bump into that devious deceptive elf this year also. Just interesting to see something and know what it is! "Think more than you speak" "How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations" "You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available." "To see God, you have to have met the Devil." "When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru." " One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

yea, muscaria's a tricky character but still worth the while to build a relationship with.

amanitas are sooo photogenic, love finding them "science never proves anything; you can never duplicate an event precisely at the same moment in time as the initial event. science can only show correlation from the evidence and data derived from it." -benzyme
