Hi fellow travellers swim was wondering. He has had around 20 journeys with 6 of these being what he would consider breakthroughs, which were pure love bliss oneness, not enough words really. However during 4 of his other quite intense journeys he has been sick. Does anyone else know of anyone who has this happen? its usually around the 50mg it happens, he uses the machine. Peace. I'm the one that's got to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to.

when SWIM uses THH or has been drinking he vomits on dmt and bufotenine..and has seen other people puke from it..try lowering your dose...dont eat before hand..and dont drink..and get a puke bucket..what SWIM finds is that when he pukes..its like hes getting his body ready for deeper journeys...so once you puke..you are set for the night..so go farther man!!

It's happened to me once, and like Jorkest, I had eaten and drunk quite a bit prior to blasting off, and ended up puking all over myself (was sitting up in a chair). Totally forgot about it until the comedown was over and I got up and noticed I had puke all down the front of my shirt. What, you ask, was the beginning of it all? And it is this...
Existence that multiplied itself For sheer delight of being And plunged into numberless trillions of forms So that it might Find Itself Innumerably. -Sri Aubobindo

It's called cybersickness or sometimes barfogenesis. This happens when the eyes see movement, but the body does not sense movement. DMT can cause the eyes to see movement that isn't there. This can sometimes trigger cybersickness. Most psychedelics can cause this in certain people, even LSD on occasion. The harmala alkaloids are notorious for causing cybersickness at high doses because they give you a sense of movement that’s not real. This leads to cybersickness. Cybersickness is a built in response in humans. Not all people are sensitive to it, but some are really sensitive to it. Whenever the brain picks up movement in the eyes that makes it appear that the person is in movement, but the balance sensors in the ears do not sense the movement, this mismatch of signals tells the brain something is wrong and so the body attempts to eject whatever poison it may have consumed that might be causing the mixed signals. Certain video games are notorious for triggering cybersickness. The basic principle is the same: the eyes see movement on a large screen but the ears do not sense movement, these mixed signals trigger nausea. Even though nothing was actually eaten, the body assumes the mixed signals are caused by ingesting a toxin and so it attempts to rid the body of the toxin by causing nausea. 1000 mg of ginger root is a good antidote for cybersickness. That's a different type of nausea caused by toxins in the caapi. If you take a 350 mg dose of isolated THH from caapi, it can specifically make you get cybersickness from a false sense of movement it causes (even in the dark). It can make you dizzy and make it difficult for you to walk properly. It's cybersickness. But it can also make you get normal nausea too if the dose is too high. You may remember me as 69Ron. SWIM has tried caapi, rue, THH, harmine and harmaline all separately many times. He's very familiar with all of them as separate things. Believe me, it's the toxins. The pure alkaloids don't make you sick like the whole caapi vine does. It's the toxins. Try using pure THH and pure harmine and then tell me it's not the toxins in the caapi that make you sick. I know lots of people who get sick from even low doses of caapi, but don't get sick at all from the pure alkaloids. I'm sure others here know what I'm talking about. You may remember me as 69Ron. I suggest reading work done by Naranjo. He did lots of tests on people using pure harmaline and harmine. Only a certain percentage of people got nausea from them. In his tests he used doses many times higher than those found in ayahuasca. Doses strong enough for full psychedelic effects on their own without DMT. THH will cause very slight nausea in some people at 350 mg doses and up. That's way more than is present in a typical ayahuasca brew. Harmine also doesn't cause much nausea in most people until about 350 mg doses are taken. Again, a typical ayahuasca brew doesn't contain that much harmine. The THH and the harmine are not causing the purge that caapi is known for. If they were, then taking 100 mg of THH and 100 mg of harmine would cause you to purge and it doesn't cause any nausea at all. You may remember me as 69Ron. Dagger wrote:Many people do get sick from 'toxins' in the caapi, I agree. But I believe there is another level to it. At higher doses, I assume you can vomit from pure harmine/harmaline/THH, right?
It is that kind of sickness. Where the nausea comes on suddenly and you have to vomit. When done, the nausea is completely gone. You need a lot of harmine/harmaline/THH to cause nausea. The nausea pure harmine/harmaline/THH can cause is a constant sea sickness like nausea the same as cybersickness, it's very unlike that of caapi's purge effect. The purge effect of caapi is not related to harmine or THH. You might be able to get a purge effect if you take DMT with pure harmine/harmaline/THH though, but not by taking them alone. Caapi alone causes a purge. You don't need DMT with caapi to cause a purge. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I posted a thread about this a while ago and someone suggested that it was because I had swallowed some of the vapor which can make you feel sick. This only happened to me twice, both times on lower doses(15-20mg) and I never actually puked but I dry heaved which can be even worse.
I have some ginger root extract on the way. It should be useful for a few things. I will probably preload with it before smoking spice to prevent any nausea.

SWIM never purged on smoked dmt, but did already on basically all other psychedelics. Sometimes vomiting and nausea may, appart from what ron mentioned, have to do with serotonin signalling in the guts.

It really wasn't an unpleasant experience ... Just as the 'flash' was happening, SWIM's gut knotted up and he knew he was going to hurl. The wastebasket was sitting right next to the bed, upon which SWIM was laying, so he reached over and grabbed it. As SWIM hurled, the white plastic trash bag inflated into a giant balloon and exploded, just as SWIM's gut did. SWIM almost choked as the whole time he was laughing uproariously, it seemed to be about the funniest thing in the world right then ... IMO, this has nothing to do with 'motion' as SWIM has spent most of his adult life at sea, in small boats, and has never suffered from motion sickness at all.

1000 mg of ginger root is a good antidote for cybersickness. I know this doesn't happen to most people but this sounds exactly like what happens to me when I get SUPER high. Usually only when I don't smoke for about a week or two. But everything in my visual field feels like its falling towards me repeatedly until I vomit. Then for about 10 minutes I feel under control then it happens again this goes of for a few times until I just feel motion sickness. Its weird how this has never happened to me on psychedelics only pot. I don't know why but I almost always hallucinate when I'm on even medium doses. I wonder why some people say they never hallucinated off of marijuana when it is so easy for me to. I even one time took a break (probably can't remember) then smoked bowl after bowl of this stuff that smelled like lemons/skunk which made me hallucinate more intense but of a different nature than a small dose of dmt. I'll try the 1000mg of ginger root next time I take a break from pot then smoke it again.
