So, I got 5 grams of 6-BAP and 1/2 LB of Anhydrous Lanolin in the mail. This is a growth hormone for those of you that have never heard of it. I am going to be some experimenting with this to induce pupping on cacti.

I heated the 1/2 lb of lanoline (.23 kg) in a hot water bath in a mason jar and put in 4.6 grams of 6-BAP into it and stirred. This is a 2% mixture. 20,000 parts per million.

I then put it in the fridge to cool down. Now I have a growth hormone cream basically. I then proceded to take a tooth pick and put lanolin on two areoles on a Trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose and a stump of a Bridgesii seedling that i had chopped off for grafting. I will be updating with the results of what happens with this.

I got a pup! I started this on 4-28 and on 5-18 a pup showed up on my T. Bridgesii Monstrose one one of the areoles.

It was on the areole that I put dramatically less BAP on. I'm gonna note that. I put a lot more of the 2% BAP lanolin cream on the other areole. It was prettymuch covered and it didn't work as of yet.

The bridgesii stump that I put some on is pupping as well, but in a different areole. I'm attributing that to normal growth since I cut the scion off to graft.
