Hey guys, question for you:

Do any of you guys experience extremely long come-ups when orally taking psychoactives? Twice now I have taken magic mushrooms on a mostly empty stomach (I'd had light meals maybe fours hours previously), and instead of the 15-60 minutes predicted by Erowid, I've had to wait 2-2.5 hours before I feel anything.

I have had similar problems with oral MDMA and oral THC.

Has anyone heard of this/experienced this before?
The trips are otherwise totally normal.

High doses of LSD can start effecting me ten minutes after ingestion on an empty stomach. Mushrooms around 25 minutes on an empty stomach. Larger doses of MDMA take about 30-45 minutes to start affecting me, I always have a small meal before taking PEAs. Most of the psychedelic PEAs have the lengthiest come ups in my experience.

My friend dosed 2g his first time. I was with him it took an hour and a half. I took mine an hour after him and we had the same trip timeline.
We are surprisingly similar.

LSD and mushrooms hit me pretty fast. Aya to, but for some reason once in a while aya can take much longer than normal..

I can't recall many who've needed 2+ hours for mushrooms to hit..i do remember terence mckenna mentioning that for himself it would take longer than most people, and almost always come on right at 2 hours

At the end of the day its no big deal though. We all metabolize things very differently.

Btw, have you tried mushroom tea? for me that definitely comes on faster than just chowing them down.

The only oral psychedelic i ever tried was shrooms and it took about 2-2.5 hrs to kick in both times. first time was 2g and the second i ate 5g. Both times it was on an empty stomach.

I can usually start to feel LSD coming on within 30-60 min, but it can be up to 3 hours before I get any visuals. My trips also seem to last a bit longer than others with whom I trip.
