Recently, I have been coming across a decent number of people claiming that certain entheogens will actually affect them more and more over time and repeated use.

For example, people seem to say this with ayahausca. I can understand since perhaps the MAOI builds up in your system making you more and more sensitive to the "light" or various admixtures.

What is you guys' thoughts on this?
"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

Lots of factors here.

Harmalas if used daily definitely have tolerance.
Weekly? Maybe reversed.

Not to mention entheogens making users more sensitive to both compounds and their biosynthesized environments as well.

Eat mescaline every day of the week for breakfast.

Personally, I can shrooom 2-3 days in a row without a lot of tolerance building - after that it's pointless until my receptors clear out for a while.

all psychedelics like psilocybe mushrooms, mescaline cacti, DMT, ayahuasca, salvia have reverse tolerance for me.

With DMT, salvia and ayahuasca I can dose over and over in a short period of time without tolerance..with psilocybin and mescaline tolerance builds for a short period of time..maybe 3 days with psilocybin if I dose 2 days in a row..mescaline I dont know..

But even with psilocybin and mescaline if I leave enough time between sessions to that there is no immediate tolerance issues, I seem to just expereince reverse tolerance. I can go deeper now with mushrooms than I could in the beginning..and I have taken mushrooms many many times. So, to me that is a reverse tolerance even if there is some immediate tolerance right after the session.

I never had a problem with mushrooms two days in a row either..only the third day were they weaker.

I would imgagine mescaline builds more tolerance than psilocybin. Mescaline can feel alot more draining aftewords as it is a long experience etc..I never bothered to test that out with cacti though. I dunno what LSD is like but it reported to build more tolerance than psilocybin.

I have taken ayahuasca for 6-7 days in a row before without any tolerance..and microdoses even more than that. I took microdoses of harmalas daily for a year and there was no tolerance ever..only increased effects that eventually ended up in me having to stop doing that because I started to experience really strange sort of "psychic" phenomena.
Long live the unwoke.

I seem to have a strong tolerance towards shrooms. When i take a moderate or strong dose, i have to wait at least a week sometimes even more until the same dose would have the same effects again.
LSD tolerance doesn't build up that fast.
Reverse tolerance with Ayahuasca.
I've taken Aya often 4 times in a row and its undenieable that the last session is always the strongest. Last time i took 1 cup in the first session, 2 cups in the second and third session, and 1 cup in the last session. When i purged the 1 cup after maybe 1 1/2 hour, i had the most intense experience of all sessions.
Which really took me by suprise. 10 min earlier i was thinking about drinking another cup, only my lazyness preventet a possible disaster.

It's true (IME) that LSD can build tolerance very quickly. My record is 1600ug, which I've done twice: once after a six week abstinence (whoa!) and once after a week of dropping every day on a week long visit to the Dali museum. In the second instance it felt like around 100ug. Out of all the common psychedelics, I believe acid builds tolerance the quickest.

On the other hand, I think that for some of us, we get sensitized to the psychedelic experience in general, and can have breakthrough experiences on lower and lower doses. But that has to do with our minds more so than simple chemical tolerance.

i and many others have also noticed a reverse tolerance with marijuana after using DMT.

i thought i heard somebody mention on here that reverse tolerance with DMT had to do with neuroplasticity(?), however i have no idea how valid that claim is/was.

i have experienced tolerance for all substances rise with repeated use , and depending on frequency of doseage , abstinence and such factors tolerance levels vary throught the year for me

i never do any psychadelics regularly , learning from my past LSD ad other substance abuse , i smoke cannabis day and night except a few breaks here and then , i don't drink alcohol often however i am kinda tolerant towards it naturally

also i've noticed psychological tolerance for the effects of LSD especially even after long periods of abstinence , what i mean is 100 ug today will not feel like 100 ug done 10 years back , years back the same doseage would be stronger , i dunno if this is a result of abuse or what , same with MDMA , i could hardly enjoy MDMA after taking it 30-40 times , after that the magic kinda died , MDMA is worse then LSD when it comes to psychological tolerance

remember psychological tolerance is very different from physical tolerance , and psychological tolerance once set can be inflexible ,
