Good advice from everyone so far.

I agree, one hit in a beautiful outdoor setting, perhaps with some really chill people will probably do you very good.

I have this substance to thank for one of the most sublime experiences of my life, it really can work wonders. Cool

Well I've got the tabs... 2 normal strength (same kind my sitter's had) and 3 which I was told are slightly stronger (was never told how much lsd was on the tabs), I know which tabs are which. Feel free to post last minute advice as I plan on trying my first hit on Sunday, as it's the first of 3 days off from work in a row
A dramatic shift approaches...

A side-effect indeed, we used to always call it perma-grin or perma-smile.

All sound advice so far: Don't worry that you might forget anything during the experience, I usually remember every single detail of my trips for a very long time afterwards but make sure you have some sort of note taking material around - I'm a big fan of jotting notes down on my phone (way more portable than pen and paper). Avoid phonecalls and texting people back and forth

Although combinations can be incredible, just stick to LSD for your first time, just to get a feel for it. I'm a big fan of cannabis, but I've never enjoyed it in combination with LSD; it's different for everyone.

Most important advice at all, more than anything else is: just go with the flow, don't fight anything. If some mad little event happens, just acknowledge it - don't get stuck on 'I'm tripping and I can't believe that just happened while I'm tripping".

Make sure you have a nice big choice of music for you both/all to listen to. Be open to other people's choice of music, if other people are tripping too. Good idea to have pair of headphones and an mp3 player available, should things start getting a bit rough; the option of solitude simply being available whether you need it or not can be a great comfort.

Nature is a great place to be, but so is being at your favourite feel good hang out spot - so a balance is good. Even if it is just going out for a walk through a nice natural area. I'd highly suggest to avoid public transport, crowds, unpredictable people and people who don't understand drug use. In fact, if you're tripping with friends who are also tripping, you might prefer to stay away from non-tripping people all together.

Pick your fellow trippers wisely - Am I comfortable with long silences with this person? How open am I usually with this person? What sort of things do we have divided opinions on and will they come up while we are tripping?

Most bad trips I have heard about usually come about because the person in question takes one blotter/drop - decides after an hour that it's not working so they take more. Don't do this - not on your first time. If you're not feeling anything after more than an hour and a half after taking - don't top up the dose - decide to trip another day.

Taking LSD is not some scary ordeal, where the slightest wrong move will send you spiraling into the dark recesses of your unconscious - just roll with it, flow with it, take everything in your stride, be surprised, be amazed, be euphoric, love each other, be open with each other. LSD is very gentle with you the first time. Godspeed Smile

My advice: don't take any advice. Pleased

Meaning, you're free, do whatever pleases you, think whatever thoughts please you... as long as you stay safe. Smile (Not to take anything away from all of the excellent replies that have been given in this thread!)

Good luck on your first trip with Lucy.
After a long time of searching it seems like LSD has, by a pure stroke of luck, finally found its way to me (a while after I had abandoned my search). I will probably be undertaking my first journey in a couple of weeks, and am really curious how it will compare to mushrooms. I know this has been widely discussed all over, so I won't derail this thread. Best of luck, and may you find a new and magical ally Smile

first of all, welcome to the world of LSD! I'm sure there are going to be some beautiful and probably lifechanging experiences to follow. LSD is an awe inspiring and deeply powerful substance which changed my life the first time I took it... I hold it in a similar league to DMT in terms of its force ... it has a lot to teach and it definitely needs to be respected.

are you tripping outside or inside? if indoors maybe get some candles going.. a dim setting is fantastic indoors, turn your phone off, maybe even hang some nice drapes around the place if you have some... get it looking really nice and organic Smile wear some nice loose comfortable clothes. eat well before journeying.. this makes a huge difference. drink plenty of water beforehand, eat a nice balance of veggies, fruit, nuts, herbs, maybe some meat... you want your body to feel clean for the experience

...perhaps start with some nice ambient spacey music with very little beat and slowly work the beat into the mix as it progresses. I'd highly recommend spending some time to make a good 12 hr playlist so that you dont have to worry to much about what music to put on once your tripping and can hence zone out easier. make sure you are absolutely comfortable with your friend and feel you can communicate on a fairly deep level with them... i always find it a bit more comfortable when on acid to be with somebody else on acid personally. the headspace of a sober person can seem quite alien to a person on acid. Is the sitter experienced with tripping?

And last of all surrender and be honest.. if you feel yourself going to any uncomfortable places dont let it bottle up inside. be open with your sitter.. and pay close attention to the visions themselves Smile they are often full of meaning and can guide you away from those feelings. this has always been a lifesaver for me on rough journeys just concentrating really

LSD last a long long time, so make the best preparations for that. And just have fun, go with the flow and let the experience take you where it's going to.

Judging by dates, this persons probably already taken their L, but I will say this just so anyone else who might be new and reading this can learn:

Only eat 1 hit your first time (or any time for that matter, if it's new acid). Don't redose if your hit hasn't kicked in yet. If it fails, eat 2 in a couple of weeks (assuming its from the same batch, of course. New acid, go back to one hit only). The main reason I say this isn't due to intensity, but longevity. One hit of acid typically lasts from 6-8 hours IME. Beyond that, it's hard to tell how long you will trip unless you are familiar with what you have.

I recently made the mistake of eating 2 doses of what I knew to be weak acid. I was going to a local concert to see one of my favorite bands, Consider The Source. I ate my doses at 6:00 PM, hoping to be riding a nice peak by the time they came on at 10:00PM. By 9:00 I hadn't peaked yet. So I ate 2 more hits of some different acid (seriously dumb move; don't ever do that) thinking that I was going to need to double up due to tolerance. All 4 doses hit at once when they started, and I was tripping so hard I had to stay outside and chain smoke while listening to one of my favortie bands outside the bar =(. I tripped from 10:00 PM on a Thursday night to 3:00PM in the afternoon the next day. 17 hours in total. Although I had a lot of fun, it ended up destroying my sleep schedule, and leaving me very drained for work. They're coming back soon, and I think this time I'm either sticking to one hit or going with mushrooms.

Lol ya going off of what Electric Hippy said, large doses of L will stetch on forever it seems, which isnt the bad part. The bad part is not being able to sleep for that entire duration because of the stimulation. Needless to say thats happened to me too. Years ago, I was at a festival and got my hands on some good Hoffman acid. Up until that point I had always taken 2-5 hits of average acid so I didnt think twice about taking 2 of the hoffmans at around 12 noon. Well it turned out to be the strongest acid trip of my life and I actually beleived I had become permanently insane at one period for about an hour during the peak. I envisioned my conciousness as a cracked egg with rainbow yolk oozing out. After many hours of purple and green swirling madness, ended up not coming down enough to sleep until about 1 pm the NEXT day... 25 hour trip lol.

I have found that a bottle of strong coca liqour pairs very well with acid in combatting tiredness and fatigue after long hours of tripping.
