so i know that lot of people feel like they arent breathing whenever they smoke the spice.

how do you get over this?

i havnt been able to breakthrough yet since i can never get past the second breath. i feel myself not being able to breath and i freak out. after i regain the ability to feel myself breathing the trip is much more enjoyable.

Well just try to smoke more so you loose concious of the fact you have a body and you need to breath. That's the only way I know to deal with this

i have had this happen with aya and pharma
where your just grooving then you notice hey hey! im not breathing!!!
this is usually where the trip is so intense that swim feels he has no control of his body and it would be useless to attempt control of it... usually for this swim the moment he notices that hes "not" breathing he can force himself to start taking deep breaths it litterly feels like swim had not been breathing as he breathes the freash air in he feels the heavy numbing fade and his whole body will tingle as if a waking limb.... one time this happened and he turned to his sober friend and said dude i stoped breathing his friend said no you didnt man you were breathing heavy that whole time starin at the ceiling..... oh okay lol

this particular swim took 125mg harmala extract ala manske (with the addition of sodium carbonate) 50 mins ago and is about to go drop some full spectrum furmate spice (xylene pulls with fasa) taking roughly 1mg/kg (80mg-155 pounds) (my advice is this is far too much for most people start slow learn your own dosage curve) for sure its gonna be an interesting night.... hopefully i keep breathing

Really there's no reason why DMT should stop you breathing (that I know of at least). What I have found is that the blood pressure in your ears will produce a tone upon smoking that takes the sound of air out of your environment. On top of this there's quite a lot going on mentally and you aren't as conscious of your physical body. The couple of times that I've had the feeling I'm not breathing I just relax and there's no gasp like I haven't been breathing (at least not long enough to cause alarm) and I just become conscious of the fact I am breathing normally.

Plus you may have forgotten that your last order to your brain was "hold your breath for a bit".

Or is it that your consciousness is perceiving time in a different scale and the time span between breaths feels significally longer than normally? I mean that's what some people say...

i get it and its a freak out - i smoke tobacco and i beleve that is the cause - do those of u who suffer from this smoke cigarettes too ?

i believe you misunderstood i was talking about oral dosing while i have smoked its always been "sub-breakthrough" (im taking my time) the few times where i had the not breathing scare it was on oral doses one of which was aya tea (my first dose.... blew my fuckin mind that day swim decided he had to extract it) i was sitting on the couch presumably watching television (really i was watching some of the most amazing OEV i have ever seen out of over 100 acid trips and over 100 shroom trips) well i dunno if you all know what i mean perhaps you do but i was getting that feeling that can creep over you the heavily intense OOBE tingling body high and about that time as my whole body went numb i noticed my chest wasnt moving and air was not coming in my body i had to make a conscious effort (hard at first) to deliberately breath and was eventually able to take some deep breaths as i did i got back control of my body and it sent shock waves of tingling through every fiber like when your leg falls asleep... now i have speculated about this quite about but cant really say for sure what happened perhaps it slowed my perception down to where it seemed like i wasnt breathing perhaps i actually stopped breathing or maybe it was like how sometimes things can freeze for a bit you know what i mean...... who knows what it is perception/physical all i know is iv had it happen a few times and it scared the shit out of me

it happened to SWIM once. I believe it's your mind playing tricks on you as has been pointed out by others often when this topic comes up.
