Thanks so much for the link, universecannon! I listened to the whole lecture, and deeply enjoyed it.
Erik Davis described Alan Watts' lectures as "shimmer[ing] with galvanizing lucidity". I couldn't possibly put it better myself.
I happened to come across this thread on a bit of MXE, and this is the second time I've stumbled into a Watts lecture on MXE. Both times I felt like I was struck with spiritual lightning upon hearing his words. We share so very much in common, in terms of our interests and general views on life, and I feel compelled to describe Watts as sort of a cosmic brother.
Who else here wishes they could have tripped on LSD with Watts?

http://www.holybooks.com...ads/joyous_cosmology.pdfI haven't had the opportunity to read it yet but it looks like a "Doors of Perception" but by Alan Watts which sounds amazing! When I was checking out print copies to buy they seemed prohibitively expensive - I guess this must be out of print.
An excellent read. Definitely get your hands on a physical copy if possible. This is a book you want to sit and read in a cozy chair, in soft light. Profound, and poetic. I recall getting a used copy pretty cheaply, maybe on Amazon?
